Following my heart, one book at a time...
ANOTHER BLAST FROM OUR PAST & it’s by one of our very favorite authors in the world!!! And considering how hot “Romantasy” is right now, and when I found this old chat amongst our crew, I couldn’t help but bring this one back to the forefront!
P.S. This series has ALL NEW COVERS TOO!!!
Lori: They are standalones … If you want to read the whole series, start with Wildest Dreams…then GD, Fantastical, Broken Dove should be out soon. Well worth the read!! but GD is a must!
Away (The Keaton Series Book 1) by B.A. Wolfe <— BLAST FROM OUR BOOK PAST!!! And I’m thinking, probably another one not to just by its book cover, ya know? There was a time that I specifically KNEW the best stories were behind some of the more “indie-looking” covers. And if we go by these recommendations, this one will rock your world!
Trisha recommended this one, way back when!! And then the recommendations just kept coming. It’s listed two of my most favorites lists on my blog (and two things that really HOOK me in a book):
The Ruined Bride: A Billionaire’s Heartbreaking Divorce, a Hidden Child, and a Second Chance Romance (The Ex-Wives Club Book 2) by Madison Brooks <— ANOTHER BETRAYAL BUT IT’S HIM WHO’S ACCUSING HER!!! Margie found us this one and she says THIS is the best of the series so far!
She says:
I know this is another Madison Brooks book, albeit in another series, but it’s so angsty and new…it came out in November 2025. I read the other two books in this series (The Ex Wives Club)…they’re ok, but not as good as this book.
HOLY MOLY SHE’S THE OTHER WOMAN ALERT!! Margie’s latest find! THE OTHER WOMAN is the main character. Ohhh a glimpse from the eyes of the villainess?
P.S. Book #2 is now live, so we can devour to our heart’s content! They are all interconnected standalones.
She says:
Another Cheating Betrayal Book
Natasha Derouchie: Choosing Cassidy (Book 1 of 2 in The Soundtrack Series)
This book is binge worthy. It’s a cheating betrayal story that comes from a different direction, with characters that are well thought out, and with people who feel real with real emotions and reactions on rebuilding relationships and handling stress.
BLAST FROM OUR BOOK PAST!!! Helen’s message was short and sweet but incredibly impactful and I hate that I missed it – it came to me around the time of Book Bash and I was so entrenched with that, that I barely saw anything else. But here it is now, and I knew that I HAD to post this!
Luckily I’m not much of an “email deleter”, so I still have all of these amazing recommendations that deserve all of the love! And lucky for us, we haven’t all already read these (and we KNOW the OG indie days rocked our worlds) so now we have even more to discover (or re-discover).
