With the release of the Bourbon/Jet girl series, it made me think of another book.
A few years back, there was higher end escort/companionship type business that was run by this women. She had girls on staff that lived with her.
I forget how, but she hires on a new girl. Before she can go through any parties she has to go through formal training and is, therefore, relegated to ‘staying in the back’ (or where their housing is). Throughout her training she continues to slip out at nights. Come to find out she is legally responsible for her younger brother and goes to check on him, bring him money, etc.
