The Love of My Afterlife <— Very quirky, lots of funny (and at times, over-the-top silly) but definitely a rainy day read to cheer you up, though it does get kind of deep at one point and pulled at my heartstrings, which I appreciated. I love some depth with my silly-sweet, you know? I liked it!! It wasn’t necessarily unputdownable and mind-blowing but it was fun and full of heart. And it was also unforgettable. I actually like it even more now looking back on it and writing this.

Ohhhh yes!! This has unrequited love IN SPADES!!! Along with a love triangle (or actually 2) plus the romance rejection comes in all sorts of ways, and oh my heart was on edge. And well… you know me, even though I’m not compelled to read paranormal romance as much as I used to (in this case, two neighboring wolf-shifter packs), I could NOT resist… because after all, they are part human too and THAT… I could relate to! 😀 And boy did I. For the most part. 😉

I just read it recently, and it’s super tumultuous and angsty and there’s a part that builds and builds and you’re cringing the whole way ’cause you just know. Oh oh. And there’s SO MUCH MORE to it than that.
It was an INCREDIBLE story and tore my heart out a few times (and yes… there’s a scene almost did me in). Actually a few… and I posted my guess below. 😀
Book Review – You Were There Too by Colleen Oakley
I just loved it. Eloquent writing, poignant yet relatable, but that had me on edge wondering WHAT was happening, the whole way through!! And what was going to happen?!! Oh yes, this one is so unique and explores all sorts of human issues (love and happiness, marital strife, depression, fertility problems, second guessing choices)… BUT one thing it explores that’s not-so-human. <— OH MY that one had me!!!!
