Following my heart, one book at a time...
<— I’m very excited to post THIS gorgeous cover of “Lead” (the upcoming book #3 in Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive Series). And since I’m still kind of floating in my “love-fog” from book #2 in the series, this book #3 cover release is well timed. 😉
Kylie Scott: GAH. JIMMY. I really do have a certain weakness for this cover. Also…delighted to announce PLAY hit #11 on the New York Times List and #27 on the USA Today!!! I’m blown away. Thank you all so much for your support.
Play (A Stage Dive Novel)
*welp* I’ve come to the conclusion that Kylie Scott can do no wrong. I apparently love everything she writes, and Mal’s book was the best one yet. An easy FIVE stars from me, my friends!!!!!!! And not just that. I five-star LOVED book #1 (Lick), too, but you know what? I LOVED this one even more.
And I’m gonna be honest. While I absolutely love this author’s other books, I didn’t expect that this one would end up being my favorite of the bunch. Oh… I knew I’d be reading it ASAP, but it was THIS recommendation (by my fellow book-bud) that made me move it to the top of the list:
Lovely Trigger (Tristan & Danika #3)
Kind of *spoiler* warning: I don’t say much by way of “info” in this review regarding THIS particular book, so I think anyone can read it, but I suggest you just go right to review #1 (my book review of Bad Things by R.K. Lilley (Tristan & Danika #1), and read this series from there. Come back to this review when you’ve finished this book. And then… let’s hold each other. 😉 *giggle*
Come to think of it, now that I’m putting in the book-quotes, don’t read this review unless you’ve read book #2. 😉
Rock Bottom (Tristan & Danika #2)
SPOILER ALERT!!! Well not really spoilers, ’cause even I don’t know how this is going to end yet, but I do explore some of the drama in this book, and if you haven’t read #1 yet (my book review of Bad Things by R.K. Lilley (Tristan & Danika #1)), you have enough drama there to contend with, first. LOL!!
Just know I am LOVING this angsty rock-star series, and if you love the “old school” New Adult indie-feel reads from a year or two year ago, this’ll be right up your alley!
Bad Things (Tristan & Danika #1)
Bad things is deliciously loaded in all of the good things (er… good “bad” things) 😉 that I love about books. So it was good? No. It was AWESOME!!!
OMG, you guys!!! Pheeeeewwww *fans self* This was pure “old-school” book-angst at it’s best! Steamy, sexy, jealousy, alpha-y and full-on hurty!
Old School? Yep! This story felt like one of my “old school” indie reads from about two years ago, when I first came upon all of the hidden indie-treasures, like Beautiful Disaster, Thoughtless, Rock Me, and Love Unscripted, just to name a few.
