Following my heart, one book at a time...
P.S. And to celebrate this release, Larissa Ione (as well as her publisher, 1,001 Dark Nights Press) are sponsoring today’s newsletter! Plus she sent us a fun tidbit about herself, along the lines of… where she’d go if she could time travel. 😉
And the author says:
Amber has another book that she’s looking for! Oh boy… it took me awhile to come up with the “subject/title” of this reader question. Quite a few “slave” books out there so I wanted to make sure this one stood out. 😉
She asks:
Maryse, sorry to ask for help again but I’m looking for another book!!
The scene I remember is this:
the Hero and heroine are at a dinner party. I want to say that she was sold/stolen/captive for family debt?? He leaves to talk to someone and she is left alone. The Hero’s friend approaches her along with his slave who is mute. He gives her some friendly advice.
Slave (Finding Anna)
Here is another book that, once upon a time, had me hesitating, worried that perhaps it might be *too dark* for me. Well… that was before. When I was still in my “dark reads” closet. But the sequel to this book shall be released any day now, and when the publisher sent me both of them for review purposes a couple of weeks ago, I was excited. Nervous, but anxious for an unusual thrilling read. I read them both over the weekend, and surprisingly, they are really not dark at all (well, at least in comparison to Captive in the Dark and the like).
