The Host: A Novel
I think it’s quite obvious by now, from my recent posts, that I LOVED this book. At first, I found it slow to start, and wondered if I’d ever care about where the story was going. However,Β a quarter of the way through I found it hard to put down,Β and stayed up easily past midnight to continue reading. And then, there were the tears. The free-flowing, hardest I’ve ever cried while reading, honest to goodness, tears (that I unsuccessfully tried to hide from my husband, who raised an eyebrow at my rare condition). The puffy red eyes, streaky face,Β and sniffling were much too obvious, and could not be blamed on allergies π
Stephenie Meyer
Stupid Book Is Making Me Cry!
Damn Stephenie Meyer and her “The Host“!!! I can’t believe I’m crying again over a book (and one of hers, again, no less!)
Oh the shame…my husband was wondering why I was taking so long in the bathroom, and really, how long can I actually hide in there? I had to come out, and face the real world all puffy face and sniffling, where no amount of cold water could wash away the evidence.
What, do you think I’m actually giving away aΒ spoiler? Fear not. The only spoiler I can guarantee is that you will cry. I don’t even know how it ends, since I can’t even reach the end yet, ’cause I’m sobbing too hard to be able to read anything!

There are a lot of things I should be doing updates onβfor example, how awesome and successful the Book Babe event was, and how cool it was to meet all the other authors and hang out with them a little bit, and how much I appreciated all the tremendous support from the fansβbut instead of commenting on happy things (which I admit I should have done a week ago; I was waiting for things to slow down for a day, silly me!), Iβm commenting on ridiculous internet rumors so that my publicistβs day will be just a little bit better.
Stephenie Meyer – Twilight Saga Reading Order
THIS IS THE SERIES that re-started my obsession with reading, and also what kicked off my blog! π In fact, I write about it here: When I first read Twilightβ¦ a look into the start of my book obsession (and THIS blog).
About the series (as if the world doesn’t already know – LOL! humor me π )
Isabella Swan’s move to Forks, a perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made.
When she meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen–a vampire–her life takes a thrilling and terrifying romantic turn.
