January 15, 2026 By Maryse Leave a Comment

IT’S TIME FOR INSTALLMENT #3 of our official Throwback Thursday post. Apparently, I’ve always had a soft spot for forbidden love… because three posts from this day in past years all fall squarely into the we-shouldn’t-but-we-did category.

YES PLEASE!!! BUT IN BOOKS!!! Always only IN BOOKS!!! LOL!!!

Grey: I am a bit of a “mood reader”; bottom line, if I’m reading a forbidden love story, I want to feel the angst, give me those pretzel tummy feels… And what’s the reason why it’s forbidden, blur the lines a bit, make me ache with the main character. read more

– Her husband and the OW engage in huge betrayal, including evil plan for scorched earth takedown of FMC’s business career
– Great revenge plan with help of MMC
– Billionaires and romance
– Satisfying ending read more

Book Review – First Lie Wins: A Novel by Ashley Elston

January 14, 2026 By Maryse Leave a Comment

First Lie Wins: Reese’s Book Club: A Novel by Ashley Elston <— Okay… this one was a fun one!! Psych-thriller and all of the exciting (and scary!!) elements that goes with it, and what I loved, is that we’re following the story through the eyes of one of the villain (or I should say villainess – which I love!). AND it kept me guessing, AND I was wrong at the end, and I loved that!

I was told to go in blind and I totally did, so if any of you like twists and turns and surprises and having NO clue what’s coming, then yes, go in blind and consider this part, my mini review. —> 4.5 STARS!! read more
