Too many awesome deals today… I had to make a mini-list!

By 52 Comments

*squeeeeee!!!!* 😀 WHAT IS GOING ON!!?? I woke up to Sunday-crazy. But awesome crazy! Ha! Like we can ever have “too many” book deals right? I dunno… but these just warranted their own mini post, ’cause I can’t possibly “sticky” all of these reviews to the top of this page to let you know they’re all on sale. I tried. But it got too messy and confusing so here’s a list, instead. I like lists. I’m good at those. 😛

P.S. Plus, I just received two adamant recommendations from two from our “trustee-reading crew” and I can’t figure out which one to start next! So I’m adding them, also. It’s kind of like a… “weekend wrap-up”: read more

Book Review – The Tied Man by Tabitha McGowan

By 73 Comments

The Tied Man<— I went in to this one blind, and whoa. WHOA my friends!!!! *whooo* That was crazy! In fact, this was almost the first book that I almost DNF’d (did not finish) but would have still reviewed. Not to tell you how bad it was. Heck no. It was great. Sort of. 😉 I guess it depends on which part of my brain and/or my heart, you ask. I was consumed by it at a certain point. So much so that I thought there was no way I could carry on. Yes. I put it down and exclaimed to the world that I was done. Nope. No more of that for me! I was going to be a quitter and I was good with that. read more

Anne Bishop – The Others Series Reading Order

By 21 Comments

New paranormal/urban fantasy series that is putting a few of our fellow readers in a delightful book-fog. This one comes HIGHLY recommended by both Bev and Michelle! Bev is going all “my preciousssssss” on it. LOL! 😉

Bev: There are two books that I have to mention the first came out last year and the next in what I believe is a trilogy came out on the fourth. They are Written in red and Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop. Both were all night reads for me and could not stop thinking of them when done. They do not end in cliffhanger but do leave you wanting more. The potential romance is their but definitely a slow build up, which I do sometimes enjoy. … This was a book daze. Do you ever feel like a part of you was left and is still living in the book? That was this one for me for a couple weeks after. So if feeling paranormal maybe look it up. Ok done with my ramble. read more

Ten books that have stayed with me in some way…

By 120 Comments

Okay my turn! I was tagged by Sally for the FB Book game, and it was just way too cool, so I thought I’d bring it here for all of us to play, too. Most of you already know my favorites, but I think you’ll be surprised at a few of my “other” favorites from my reading past.

It goes like this:

“In your status, list 10 books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take more than a few minutes and do not think too hard. They do not have to be the “right” books or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. Tag 10 friends including me so I can see your list…” read more
