Marked. Part I: The missing Link
So… what would it be like having a seriously scary, brooding, angry potential “bad guy” in all of his scarred glory living right next door? Eeeeeep! But in book format? YAY!!!!
I loved how it started, I loved how she met him (her mom insisted she invite him over for Christmas dinner – poooor sweet scary-looking boy ;). I loved her mom!!),
“He’s all alone in that house. He never has anyone over. I’m sure he’s lonely.”
<— Rock star alert, and it’s one that I L-O-V-E-D!!! Imagine going to Vegas with friends, getting a little… inebriated 😉 and getting married to a hot stranger. Well… that happens a lot actually. So how amazing would it be to realize your hottie husband (who really seems to be happy with this arrangement) is… a SUPER FAMOUS ROCK STAR!??? YES PLEASE!! I was so in when I started this, and I didn’t let go once.
Just the right amount of everything. What what whaaaat!!! moments, sad-ish moments (even right from the start), jealousy moments, extreme sweeeeeeeetness moments, HOT AND STEAMY moments (and this author rocks those!!) angsty moments, evil industry moments… hot groupies, hot models… oh you get it ALL! One of my fav rock star books (see my review of book #1).
Happy Friday my friends!! A whole reading weekend ahead of me, and my next read could be anything. I’ve got so many options, but I’m not sure what I’m in the mood for. A bunch below have my attention, and specifically three that really have it. (Mine to Lose, Come to Me Quietly, Break In Two and Never Smile at Strangers annnnd Someone Else’s Love Story). Okay that was five. 
Then again, I’m thinking of backtracking and finishing the “The Bronze Horseman Trilogy” (I’m halfway through book #2, and I honestly have NO idea why I put it down way back when – I think it was back in 2012?). Probably some shiny new tattooed bad-boy distracted me (I was bad-boy crazy wasn’t I? Er… was? I should say “am“. Still.) Tee hee!
Brutally Beautiful
Pure entertainment from start to finish. So good, cleverly written and it mostly had it all. Great story flow, intense tension between two adults (strangers) that can’t stand each other at first (with good reason!), but have that undeniable pull, despite their resistance. Big time secrets and tragic pasts (but wait, you’ll see! <— the craziness!) that ruled their current lives. Adrenaline-inducing parts with a twist-reveal (or two), a small entourage of loving family and friends and… a strip club. 😛 Fun times!
Hey I remember seeing an author mention this on Facebook a month or so ago… but for some reason, I’m drawing a blank. I promise, there are many of these questions that I am able to answer (you guys don’t see those) but for some of ’em… I need you badly!

I remember reading a while back on an authors blog that she is going to do a new series about high school football a la Friday Night Lights. But I can’t remember who it was. Do you or any of your readers know who it is? I want to know if any of the books are out yet. Thanks!
