Book Review – Dark Light by S.L. Jennings

By 8 Comments

Dark Light (The Dark Light Series)
Brought to my attention recently by many enthusiastic readers and even a few enthusiastic authors (two of them are my favorites), so you KNOW I had to read this.

Tiffany: The Dark Light series is a Must Read!! ♥

Michele: Love it!!!

Maryse’s Book Blog: I keep hearing this!

Britto: Loved both books!!! Can not wait for the third!!

Julie: Reading the Dark Light Series, into book 2 now, I really like it! The first 20% of book 1 was a little slow then picked up. Anyone know if there’s a third book or is it just these 2? read more

S.L. Jennings – The Dark Light Series Reading Order

By 12 Comments

Whoa! Book #2 just came out and it would seem this series is all the rage right now. Recommendation after recommendation, over the last 24 hours! And yes! With that many recommendations, I read (and enjoyed) #1 already. 🙂 Will be reading #2 tonight.

UPDATE!! Here are my reviews of the first two books (I LOVED!!!!!)

Marina: … just came across a recommendation from Abbi Glines on twitter. “Dark Light” and sequel, “Dark Prince” by S.L. Jennings. She is raving about them. Says she is very picky and she stayed up all night reading them, they are that good…  I may go ahead and buy. Reviewers on amazon say it’s like 50 shades but paranormal. read more

The Intense Pleasure of a Romantic Build-Up (and what makes a book my favorite)…

By 37 Comments

After 4 years of expanding my “romance repertoire”, I’ve come to realize that my biggest book-crushes (my most intense reading experiences) involve the relationships that were not easy. Not easy for the main characters sure, but not easy for the reader, too. Obviously speaking, the author’s intent of a romantic relationship between two characters is there, yes. But there’s something about it that’s… subtle. Subconsciously, I find myself agonizing over the when? Wondering, “what if… never?” read more

M. Leighton – Bad Boys Series Reading Order

By 10 Comments

I read book #1 in this sexy series and loved it (and now that #2 is out, I need to get on it). It’s about two gorgeous guys (actually, identical twins!!). A bad boy, a good boy and a girl caught in the middle. Well, you know… 😉 Not like that. But they’re both perfect in their own way, and not-so-perfect in their own way, too. One’s a total player, and one is “taken”… by her cousin! Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

Sarah: OMG OMG I just finished Down To You and Up TO Me by M. Leighton and I have a serious new book boyfriend I’m in love with Cash!!!! I can’t believe I waited so long to read these I mean DOWN TO YOU was on your top reads for 2012 what the heck was I thinking those books should be my priority 😉 again you never fail me with your recommendations this is why I follow your blog! I just don’t know if I will be able to starts new book I am still stuck on my new book boyfriend Cash Cash Cash 🙂 I can’t believe we have to wait until Sept 3rd for the Everything For Us ugh read more
