Following my heart, one book at a time...
Today’s 15th day of Christmas Giveaway will be for two signed books by Kele Moon (both of which I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing and loving, last
year).
Especially her sexy UFC fighter in Defying the Odds *sigh* LOVE HIM. Not “loved”. LOVE. Still. 😉 (check out my review)
And she says:
“I’d be more than happy to autograph and personalize. It’s a Christmas story so that works … as soon as you give me the winners I’ll autograph them and mail them out!”
Since it’s the Christmas Holiday, I’m making today’s “Facebook Likes” celebration a little extra special!! I’m giving away another Kindle!!
This one —> Kindle, 6″ E Ink Display, Wi-Fi – Includes Special Offers (Graphite)
Kindle — small, light, and fast
- Less than 6 ounces – lighter than a paperback, fits in your pocket
- New darker, hand-tuned fonts for easier reading
- Reads like paper with no glare, even in bright sunlight
- Download books in 60 seconds with built-in Wi-Fi
- Holds over 1,000 books – take your library wherever you go
It’s so cute and tiny!! Well more like… book sized.
ALSO: I will be donating this time to USO (and I’ve linked it up, so you can too, if you’d like!
Donating can help the USO send more services and comfort to our troops and their families. USO is committed to sharing a touch of home with our troops wherever they serve — from free phone cards to care packages full of much needed items, entertainment tours to just a simple hug). They also have a wish list.
Razing Kayne (Walking A Thin Blue Line)
Overall, this one was good, at times great, but I struggled with the ending. The big mystery/suspense reveal didn’t seem to fit the book, for me. The reveal took this beautiful, plausible story and gave it an outrageous answer.
It started out absolutely devastating, slowly turning into a beautiful love story of growth and healing (for everyone involved). Two perfectly matched souls that just had to learn to trust again. And an AMAZING, exciting reveal towards the middle. Something that had me gasping and thrilled me. I was dying to know how it was going to play out.
WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT!! –> Congratulations to Anya who responded to her email notification and has received this gift!
Today’s giveaway will be another $20 gift certificate, something light and easy and open to everyone. I just wanna hug you guys! And maybe snuggle on my couch with my puppies and watch Elf again.
How to enter for a chance to win it? Just leave a comment below (telling us what you’re reading now or planning to read next and indicate whether you would prefer the Nook or Kindle gift card), and tomorrow night by 10pm EST (12/15/2012), I will randomly select one winner. The winner will be contacted and the gift card will be sent to the email address provided (make sure it’s valid!!). NOTE: The “winner” will have 48 hours to respond to the winning email notification. If no response is received, I will randomly select another winner. Make sure to check your email, so you do not loose your chance. This is open to anyone that can receive an emailed giftcard from either of these two companies.
I have a proposition for myself. Take Friday’s off of work so I can have more reading time. I feel especially antsy about this, when I put together this list. I’m all… “Oh!! This one is going to be my next read.” and then… “No wait, THIS one.” and then … “OH RIGHT!!! This one has been in my reader for a few weeks now and after that recommendation IT has to be next.” ARGH!!! If I took Friday’s off, I could relieve some of this excited reading pressure and start my weekend reading marathon early. Maybe get all three books in! 😉
