Great series!!! These guys take “personal demons” to a whole new level. Powerful guardians to the gods release demons from their prison (Pandora’s Box), to prove a point. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to capture and put them back. As punishment for their actions, they were banished to Earth, each one forced to “host” a demon. Each book focuses on a Guardian’s internal struggle of good and evil mingled into one body, while continuing to protect and serve. But all is not lost. Within their dark existence exists a potential for love, a woman that can ease their torment, and help their mission. The romance abounds in these novels, and had me weak at the knees!
Caridad Piñeiro – The Calling Series Reading Order
About book #1:
After the death of her father during a drive-by shooting, FBI Agent Diana Reyes’s world had spiraled into the darkness.
Since then she’s battled to stay out of that underworld as she works as an FBI Agent. But when an investigation to catch a psychotic killer throws her together with sexy nightclub owner Ryder Latimer, she feels herself losing that tenuous grip. Can she resist the sensual promises of the man whose secrets threaten all that she’s accomplished?
Book Review – I Want You to Want Me by Kathy Love
I Want You To Want Me (Bourbon Street Book 2)
Have you ever read a book (or series) that you enjoy so much that if, by chance, you wake up at 4am, you find yourself reaching for the book, instead of trying to get back to sleep? It’s my favorite time to read. The house is dark and silent except for the faint glow of my book-light, I’m cozy and bundled up, and it’s just me and my stories (and occasionally the faint sound of snoring, but a good nudge usually fixes that!) It might explain why I’ve been feeling sleep deprived these days, but it’s well worth it.
