Reader Favorites – Angie’s Best Books of 2022 List

By 7 Comments

Another “Best Of” list by a fellow reader, and it’s a first for her, here, too!!!! YAY ANGIE!!! I’m delighted with this! She’s been with us since 2017 (so many of her book favorites are also mine!!!). This may be her first list with us, but I feel like we’re reading twins already! Anytime is the right time for a reader favorites list, so no better time than now!

Let’s get to know her, from her past comments, shall we?

My favorite military hero is a relative of mine. His name was Samuel Major Sampler and was awarded the Medal of Honor presented to him by President Kennedy for his actions in World War l. The story is online and can be found easily. He was armed with German (enemy) grenades. He ran forward under heavy enemy fire using the enemy’s grenades killing 2 enemy soldiers which caused the machine guns to go silent. He got 28 German soldiers to surrender. They were sent to the end of the line as prisoners and his ”company” was able to keep advancing. read more

HAPPY MONDAY!! A NEW WEEK AHEAD OF US,  & this new year is in fullllll swing! Kids are back to school, life is back to normal, and we are back to business. I already miss the Holidays. I miss Halloween, too.

THREE THINGS:

1.) I spent a super quiet weekend just regrouping, and took down the Christmas stuff on Three Kings Day (January 6). Watched a ton of football yesterday & slept through some of it (afternoon naps in front of the tv is my favorite), but I’m really dying to marathon watch (or look forward to watching) an amazing series. Reader Favorites – Tasha J’s Best Books of 2022 List

By 2 Comments

Tasha J’s list is here!! This is my other book twin, ’cause it always seems that we love the same books. I can’t wait to dive into her list. Everything here makes me clap with glee!!

But… first… a “Tasha J” walk down 2022 memory lane.

I can’t really read at night anymore bc I’m too tired to focus and J is the worst sleeper and wiggles and talks beside me until I’m so exhausted by the time he’s out, that I’m out. Sometimes I watch stuff then to pass time until he falls asleep. But, When I was reading well, I’d do it waiting to pick up kids in the carpool lane or from sports, or for an hour in the morning at least. I made a goal to read either 50 pages a day if possible or 10%. And I read aloud to help myself focus. I’m a little slower that way, but it works. read more

Reader Favorites – Randi’s Four Best Books of 2022 List

YAY Randi!! This is a first by her, but she’s been with us since 2013!!!!!! While she’s active in our comments (especially lately – she helps me out a ton when she lets me know what I’ve missed in the latest releases, and has great recommendations and book feedback for us), this is her very first “Best Of” list with us.

Randi’s favorites list is short but definitely sweet, and I’m thankful for all of the favorite stories we get to experience each year! read more
