Following my heart, one book at a time...
Rae: …just downloaded Southern Storm by Natasha Madison. That sounds ANGSTY!
Maryse: RIGHT??? HOLY MOLY… what an insult to her! I’m dying to know more!!
Mony: Thanks for the rec about Southern Storm by Natasha Madison…on my TBR list.
And then I found out my fellow readers are loving the whole series.
Nadia: This one sounds good but do I start with the first one in the series or is it standalone ?? …they sound good so I think I’ll start with the first one.
This started out as a “we’re bored” let’s do a bookish quiz chat, and the answers were too amazing (and wide spread) that I knew I had to devote a post to it.
1.) Because I know that many here will relate to our favorites (or maybe hate a few of our favorites too). I love how a few of our #1 choices spurred chats about the “why” or the “why nots” of these heroes. There was some gasping in shock, that’s for sure, but we totally get each other. 😉
Mony: Almost forgot to tell you about a book mentioned here a week ago. Beautifully Cruel by J.T. Geissinger. Just finished it as part of a group read…couldn’t stop…read it all at once. A delicious scrumptious read… 5 stars for me…grumpy hot mysterious alpha, sassy chick, hot chemistry, slow burn, some steamy scenes, …sadly I also like that he’s wealthy – lol Just my kind of book!
Kate just sent me this reader question (a ton of detail so hopefully we’ll get the correct guess soon), and now we’re up to EIGHT today! 😀 Best reader question day, yet!!!
She asks:
Hello,
Back in the early to mid 2000’s I read a contemporary suspense romance story. I can’t remember if it was a novel on its own or if it was part of a romance short story anthology, but the premise is:
…one night a commotion starts in a hospital as this badass female vigilante crime fighter is doing battle with a bad guy.
Cynthia needs our help again! She just sent over this one for us to figure out. 🙂 I love police romance books!! 😀
She asks:
Hey maryse,
I just remembered another book that I would love to find. I read a snippet of this in the back of a magazine. Do you remember when cosmopolitan or People magazine used to have the snippet of the book they were advertising? That’s where this one comes from.
This book is about a woman in her late 20s to late 30s. She falls for this detective while being protected from a serial killer. Somehow or another the detective finding out that the killer is going to come after the woman. And they put her up in a hotel with personal protection from this detective / police officer.
