My blog turned 10 just a few days ago, on February 28th 2019!! And our book crew have been reminiscing, so I couldn’t help but compile these fun “remember when…” tidbits into a blog post.
And bev is the one that kicked it off, (she’s our resident questionnaire-er…er.) 😛
P.S. Gah!! I SO wanna do Tasha J’s “meet up” suggestion. OMG YES PLEASE!!! 😀 That would be heaven. We’d need to build our blankie forts that night too. My dogs would be so happy too!! *snort*
Jenn: Maryse-I could be wrong but won’t it be the 10 year birthday of the “birth of your blog” end of this month. Wow and I have been here silently and sometimes very loudly since 2012 🙂 One of my nieces bday is the 28th of this month which is what made me think of it. Plus she loves to read and I have told her to come visit us here
Maryse: You are so right Jenn!!! I started it in Feb. 2009. CRAZY!!!!
bev: Maryse Happy Blog Birthday! From a lurker to a talker, lol. I’m glad I found you all.
Maryse: I’m so glad you found us too, bev!!! This blog would not be the same without you. I hope we grow OLD together!!! 😀
Michele G: Congrats Maryse on 10 years for the blog!! Wowza!!
Jan: Congrats on the upcoming anniversary, Maryse. So many of us get so much enjoyment and fab book recs from your great blog. I love this community. No nasty comments on here, and no books being *pushed* at us. Just a nice smorgasbord to take our choice.
Sometimes we pick a dud (like at the buffet when you pick up that weird fishy hors d’oevre and then sneakily slip it onto the dirty plate pile after one gross taste). But so many winners I have got from this blog. And the friendships too. *group hug*
bev:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? Hmmm. I want to say 2013.
- First buddy read on the blog? Oh goodness. It was that crazy book. I cant remember the title.
- Moment that made you laugh the most? Amy’s peanuts. Classic.
Amy: Amy: Awwwww, I just saw a baby bird chasing it’s mama around with it’s mouth open trying to get fed (it’s still VERY light outside here at this time!), and all I could think about was Maryse and her baby bird mouth waiting for us to toss penises at her. *giggle*
Amy: OMG!!!!!!!! PEANUTS!!!!!!! Freaking mother-effing stupid autocorrect!!! WTH!!!! I’m gonna die from embarrassment. O. M. G.
I’m just gonna go wait outside for the next UPS truck to go by so I can toss myself in front of it…bev: Oh, Amy. Literally tears running down my face, hunched over laughing at that visual. So…I’m..hey, how many times a day are you texting about penises?
Heh, see mine wants to change penises to ponies. I think you have a much more exciting life.;-)
Maryse: 😯 😯
*thud*Maryse just fainted upon reading Amy’s comment.
Maryse is so distraught and laughing her lungs up, that she is now referring to herself in the third person.
Maryse likes PEANUTS. 😛Amy: *covers face with hands* I’m about fifty shades of red right now.
Tessa: hahahahaha Amy. Best typo ever!
Anne: AMY!!! HAHAHAHA! I just can’t! Lol! That’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in a while! LMAO!!
sidenote: see where this convo started (132 comments-worth!)
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? Written In Red (A Novel of the Others Book 1). Has to be, lol.
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? Hmm. So many. I particularly remember The Sea of Tranquility, Slammed: A Novel,Sempre, and Painted Faces.
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Yes. I really got into NA and CR. Prior to this I’d been in a PNR & UF phase. Weren’t we all? I will always love an alpha hero but ……I’m not sure if some of the ones I loved then would still appeal. *shrug*
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil. (And, well, kdramas. Like Fight My Way or I Can Hear Your Voice…..and well Healer is a favorite. )
- Do you think she will like it? Honestly, I’m not sure. LOL.
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. Yes mine will be kpop. *shrug* https://youtu.be/1ZRb1we80kM
- If we met what would you want us to do together? Go to a kpop concert. Big Bang or SHINee when they all get out of the military in a few years…cause it’s all about me, lol.
Tasha J:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? 2014, maybe?
- First buddy read on the blog? I don’t think I’ve ever done one. Wait! Maybe, All Your Perfects: A Novel by Colleen Hoover
- Moment that made you laugh the most? …..I can’t remember. I’m terrible in the memory dept., apparently.
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? Maybe Allegedly? Maybe Beartown: A Novel.
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? So many. The Sweet Gum Tree, most everything on my Nook (remember that?), The Opposite of You, The Rosie Project, After I Do: A Novel, The Edge of Never, Giving it Up by Amber Lin, etc.
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Yes. I read more fiction and thrillers now, but I still enjoy a love interest in them. But, I do still read a little out of each genre and enjoy those “old school” reads.
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Darynda Jones Charley Davidson series
- Do you think she will like it? I’m not sure…maybe after she read a couple she’d be more invested. I mean, it is Reyes Farrow.
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. Ok, I never listened to this growing up, I was a country fan. But, I know how everyone would sing the lyrics and what not, and I’m sure I heard the chorus here and there, so this was in my head this morning and I played it for the gang to pep up and get their groove on. LOL https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NHozn0YXAeE
- If we met what would you want us to do together? We’d all meet at Maryse’s and she’d make us a fabulous meal, and we’d drink some fruity cocktail with macarons for dessert, and we’d talk and rave about how weird it is to be meeting in real life and then go to the beach! And maybe some little island shopps for fun. And then at night, we’d finally have our sleepover and wrap ourselves in blankets with flashlights, talk books and tell spooky stories and watch super creepy movies courtesy of Maryse. Then, someone (who’s the rowdy one of the bunch?) would play a dirty prank and creep around outside scaring the living daylights out of us.
R. Renee:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? 2015, right after I finished Fifty Shades of Grey
- First buddy read on the blog? I think it was Eversea??
- Moment that made you laugh the most? probably bev vs. Bev
R. Renee: …Bev. I think we messaged about this one. It’s not for you.
bev: R. Messaged???
R: Bev, on GR? We were talking about Emma Scott books. And speaking of…why doesn’t Amy have a GR? Or does she and she’s hiding it from me?
bev: Amy does I dont, lol. Wasn’t me. 🙂
R. Renee: SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. There are 2 Bevs?? OMG all this time. I bet I must make absolutely no sense to you. OMG now I’m wondering if I talked to the other Bev about Sherlock. LMAO. oops…
bev: Lol. Not that I’ve noticed. Possible it’s more confusing for her. *shrugs*
Ela: Bev? If that’s not YOU then who was I talking smut with!???
R. Renee: HAHAHAHAHAAAA oh no… It’s because we’re always virtually drunk on here isn’t it?
Ela: Omg bev!!! I chastised your other self on GR for recommending The Others but not reading it herself!
DG: WAIT, wait one minute here….TWO BEVs!?!?!? And “our” Bev is not on GR?!?!?
R: I am laughing so hard right now I can’t breathe. Unless our Bev is drinking too much of the Kool-Aid herself…
bev: That poor lady. Are you all friends with her? Is she the one that is friends with Fabi? Nope, no GR account.
R: YES!!!! LOL
Amy: OMG!!! You’ve been talking smut with someone you don’t even know on GR?!? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
R. Renee: apparently we all have! I’m going to re-read my DM’s now!!
Amy: *laughs and wheezes* You chastised “Bev” on GR over The Others??? *falls over cackling and choking* IT JUST GETS BETTER!
Ela: OMG I so did Amy! She even said I shouldn’t tell Fabi! I was sure it was our bev (lower case b)
bev: What kind of smut do I like?
Ela: Bev you want to read all of Opal Carew’s books, it’s your ‘to go’ smut author!
bev: Huh, good to know.
sidenote: And the conversation continues (over 892 comments-worth, in fact!!)… LOL!! This is definitely one of the best…
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? The Man I Love
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? The first one that owned me was The Nightingale: A Novel
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Definitely. I don’t like NA nearly as much and YAs are few and far between.
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Long Live the Beautiful Hearts (Beautiful Hearts Duet Book 2)

- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. This one that I’ll be jamming to live tonight! https://youtu.be/M7XRN0oHGIM
- If we met what would you want us to do together? I like Tasha’s idea!
Jenn:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? Hmmm been here since 2012 but really did not become a voice till 2018.
- First buddy read on the blog? I am not really sure on this one
- Moment that made you laugh the most? There are so many “Bev moments” but since I can’t think of one specifically I am going to say the “Bum Bum Cream-I still laugh about this as I did not know it was actually real.
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most?-Of all time is The Sea of Tranquility: A Novel, however most recently The Beautiful Hearts Duet by Emma Scott.
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec?-I’ll say Beautiful Disaster: A Novel but there are so many!
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Absolutely never would have read a paranormal book if it wasn’t for this blog. I don’t read them constantly but every once and awhile I crave this genre.
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? I am going to go with Rock and Roll Never Forgets (The Rock and Roll Trilogy Book 1) by Barbara S. Stewart. I read this in 2013 and I think I either emailed Maryse about it or maybe posted in the blog. This is the book where the last 30% it was me reading through my tears.
- Do you think she will like it? *shrugs*
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. Not really feeling upbeat so I got nothing!
- If we met what would you want us to do together? See Tasha’s answer as that sounds like a BLAST.
Amy:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? Around the beginning of 2013, I believe.

- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Everything You Want Me to Be: A Novel by Mindy Mejia.
- Do you think she will like it? Pretty sure she will.
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. Not sure it would be considered UPbeat, but I love the beat and often listen to it while running: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3ccbj0A6NJI
- If we met what would you want us to do together? Tasha’s answer. Definitely. I would all kinds of food and martinis (both regular and keto) for you all!!
Jan: Ha. It’s fun looking back, isn’t it?
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? Exactly 3 years. March 2016. Whoah. That’s gone quickly.
- First buddy read on the blog? ? Not sure. I did attempt to read Thoughtless cos everyone floved it so much, but I just couldn’t get through it. Kellan was cute, though.
- Moment that made you laugh the most? Someone (can’t remember who) posted their reaction to a forbiddeny read about a priest falling in love. They loved the book but felt like they needed to drop to their knees and pray for forgiveness for reading such forbidden sauciness. It was a really funny comment, but I haven’t got their way with words.
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? Devil in Spring: The Ravenels, Book 3, maybe?
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? The Opposite of You by Rachel Higginson. I liked it. Reading the latest one in that series right now.
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Yes. I’ve fallen a little out of love with some authors I used to adore e.g. Kristen Ashley, Nalini Singh, Karen Marie Moning. I still like pnr, but I’m a bit fussier about which books I choose now. I still love CR and HR, and I still usually don’t like death books or bully books or too much angst.
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? The Last Hour of Gann by R. Lee Smith
- Do you think she will like it? ?? Maybe, maybe not. It’s very long, a bit weird (falling in love with a lizardman WTF?) and has some violent moments. Fantastic book, though.
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM ha ha ha. You won’t be able to get that out of your head all day now.
- If we met what would you want us to do together? Have a coffee together in some cosy little coffee shop and talk books. I would LOVE to do that!

- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? Fallen Crest.
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? A lot. lol Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? eh… not really? I mean, I can honestly say I’ve always experienced reading moods like I do now, I came in in a mood for BDSM alpha, but that never went away. I still like them. *grins* And I originally saw the site based on the word paranormal, which I still adore. *shrugs* And the bully thing? I liked Bruce Patman at the age of 11. lol Not much has changed.
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? *thinks* A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
- Do you think she will like it? Yeah. It’s different enough to be intriguing, but she’s in psycho land right now, book-wise.
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7Bc3pLyij0 This makes me smile. Not the video but the song.
- If we met what would you want us to do together? Tasha wins, except we must have music. Bev would play her KPop, R and Amy would show off their funky finds, I’d probably find something popular in some genre. *nods* Singing and dancing allowed if that’s what you feel.
Grey: Oh, I love these!!
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? Hmm, I’m not sure, 2014, I think?
- First buddy read on the blog? Geez, I’m not sure on this one either…I think Jezebel? Which also led to me cursing on the blog at 2 o’clock in the morning… 😆 sorry Maryse!
- Moment that made you laugh the most? *blink, blink* How can I choose one? bev vs. Bev was classic! There have been some humdinger Friday nights in here too. Mixing up of cocktails and dirty innuendos, not naming any names here, *cough cough, Amy, *cough*
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? Gah, these are hard. It depends on what mood I’m in. For a Rom-Com, Beautiful Player (The Beautiful Series Book 5) by Christina Lauren.
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? Drive by Kate Stewart
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Hmmm, I don’t know if they’ve changed so much. I still love the bad boy bullies…and PNR… Although I definitely read more indy authors now, which is a definite bonus.
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Playing with Monsters by Amelia Hutchins.
- Do you think she will like it? Yes…it’s… amazing!!!
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. Well, we’ll it’s Sunday now, But here’s mine… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av5JD1dfj_c
- If we met what would you want us to do together? I keep saying, I really want Maryse to host another Book Bash, I think it’d be super fun! That way we could all come and help out before hand, have a blog party before hand…then pitch in for the event itself, super fun, right???
Lisa: Thanks bev, this was super fun, as always!
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? I found your blog after 50 Shades, as I was looking for similar books. 2013? Can’t believe its been that long!! I don’t comment much. I look at your Blog every day & that’s where I find all my reads!
- First buddy read on the blog? I have never done one. It seemed I was always reading something else at the time. But usually added those to my TBR list.

- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Buttons and Lace by Penelope Sky
- Do you think she will like it? Yes I hope so!!

Jean:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? 2013 or 2014 or 2015…..I seriously can’t remember!!
- First buddy read on the blog? I don’t know if I’ve ever done a BR here…..because really, I’m just not good at it. I always fall behind everyone and that frustrates me!
- Moment that made you laugh the most? Bev always makes me laugh! Always! But Amy was kinda my first friend here and we had our little sarcastic battles with each other – – love you both!
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? A Lover’s Lament by K.L. Greyson, This Man (A This Man Novel Book 1)) by Jodi Ellen Malpas, Mists of The Serengeti by Leylah Attar
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? Beautiful Disaster of course!!
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? They have totally changed. Fifty Shades got me back into reading, but then I became bored with the erotica romance. I love a great psycho-thriller now, something that leaves my jaw dropping at the end. Also, you girls have introduced me to fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, etc…….completely out of my box, but I’ve come to love them!
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Charley Davidson series…..I listened to the girls here and LOVE this series!!
- Do you think she will like it? SHE WILL LOVE IT!!
- Its Friday link an upbeat song. …..I can’t think of any right now, but am a pure country girl living in a big city! Lol!

Nay: I missed this over the weekend:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? 2016
- First buddy read on the blog? Black Swan Affair
- Moment that made you laugh the most? Too many for me to think of one
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? No question–Tristan and Danika. After that, Mists of The Serengeti
- Book you read because of a Maryse rec? Beautiful Disaster
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? I don’t read as much NA anymore. I’ve reverted back to my old dark ways!
- What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? The Luther Kite series by Blake Crouch (and there are several others who still need to read Mists!)
- Do you think she will like it? Yes (especially if it’s the audio version)
- Its Friday link an upbeat song…. This was our favorite upbeat song to dance to in college https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqnw5IfbZOU
- If we met what would you want us to do together? Love Tasha and Grey’s ideas!
Maryse:
- Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? 2009!! 😉 That’s when I started it… I was so nervous back then, and so excited when someone would comment. I still am just as excited, for each and every one.
- First buddy read on the blog? I think (trying to remember that far back) a few stand-out buddy reads were Walking Disaster, the second book after Thoughtless (Effortless (Thoughtless Book 2)), ALL of Experiment in Terror once I lost my mind over the first two or 3 books, we ended up devouring the rest all together, the last book in the Fever (the Mac & Barrons portion) series – Shadowfever: Fever Series Book 5, the second book in the Fifty Shades series (Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades, Book 2) – and for that matter, the third one too). When I read Fifty Shades, #2 was not out yet so we were in a total tailspin with that ending!! Also, Hopeless, and Never Too Far by Abbi Glines.
- Moment that made you laugh the most? All of bev’s hilarious “weekly blog wrap-ups” when someone asks what they’ve missed. OMG she is the FUNNIEST, and even though she embellishes… parts… 😉 it’s always true!!
- Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? Beautiful Disaster: A Novel!!!!!
- Book you read because of a rec? SO many because of you guys!! Your recommendations keep me moving too, and I’m so appreciative, you have no idea. There are so many books to choose from…
- Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? Yes a whole lot. While I started off strictly Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, I ventured off into New Adult (that was HUGE for me), and ventured even further into “dark reads”. While I still love romance, I love it with a twist, or jaw-dropping moment. Something that will make me gasp out loud, or freak out. Which might be why I’m VERY much into thrillers and psych-thrillers right now. Kind of full circle (started with horror, and am back to it… albeit a lighter version of scary). Although then again, I do still LOVE a good contemporary romance like Tessa Bailey’s cops, or Rachel Higginson’s chefs. 😉
- What’s a rec you still want others to read? ANYTHING by K.A. Tucker (like Until It Fades: A Novel). I LOVED IT!! LOVE HER!! Oh and definitely Jezebel (that Grey just reminded us of). YES YES YES!!!!
- Do you think they will like it? YES. Pure “old-school” contemporary romance with the struggling heroine who’s the town outcast, the famous sports star, the completely unique way they met, the slow burn, the paparazzi… all of it!!!
- Its Sunday! Link an upbeat song…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NV6Rdv1a3I This song reminds so much of Book Bash. I think we danced to it that night… it just brings back those awesome feelings of elation, and book-happiness.
- If we met what would you want us to do together? Definitely Tasha’s suggestion. That’s my happy place. 😀
Jan: I checked, and I’ve only been blogging here since March 2016. Not even 3 years yet. A mere babe. It feels longer though (but in a good way). I’m not sure what my first rec I got from here was, actually, but I know one of the early recs I really LOVED was The The Last Hour of Gann. I would NEVER have found that book on my own.
bev: I know I found you all at a time when I really needed to. I am still surprised at myself with how involved I got.
Nay: What a huge accomplishment, Maryse! You’ve done so much to bring so many readers years of reading enjoyment. And you’ve brought all of us together, which is the best part! I first visited here after I read Thoughtless in 2012 and got many recommendations before I actually started posting in 2016. Congrats and thank you!
Okay… now your turn!! 😀
I love that you are combining our responses on this post!!!
bev, if you ever leave I will hunt you down and drag your funny a$$ back because YOU are obviously a much-loved member of this crazy family we have going here. 😉
I love this group. ❤️
I do too. LOVE US.
and bev is one of the main bones of our family. ALWAYS.
bev! You need to make your weekly wrap-ups a thing!
This is so wild to read! I’ve been a long-time lurker too – all the way back to 2011/2012. I’ve bought so many books because of you, Maryse!! I also met some of the best people through the comments here and on your FB page – Kandace being one of them when I was looking for people to buddy read with. I got through some of the toughest times of my life reading books from here and I’ll never ever forget it!
Congratulations to you on all of the success!
*hugs to you Jill*
I keep backtracking in the comments and seeing everyone’s sweet comments here. Warms my heart. Kandace and I buddy-read “All of the Ugly and Wonderful Things” together. I remember that one specifically because we were constantly texting and freaking out, not sure how we should feel (but it was too good to put down).
Who you need to hunt down is Cheryl & Jean.
Where are they??
How did I forget about Sherlock? I need to get back to it. Korean television took over from British.
Gann is kind of like a light Horror movie, lol.
I’m way too lazy and a procrastinator. 2 of my worst habits . Plus I totally ghost people. I’m horrible.
GASP!!! NO GHOSTING!!!!
YES! We need to run over to GR and drag Jean and Cheryl in here for their answers.
And maybe even Fabi would make a surprise appearance. *sigh* One can only hope…
It’s not really on purpose. I think for introverts social time passes a bit differently. You just don’t notice how much time has passed.
Amy you should send them a GR message. Everyone likes you. Invite them over.
“Everyone likes you.” <——- *snort* I’m sure there are some who find me a bit too much. Or should I try to sound young and hip and say they find me “extra.” LOL!!!
I messaged them on GR. 😉
Congrats Maryse. I’m so happy I found you and your crew. You all make me laugh all the time. Big hugs!
*hugs Northernstar too*
I love you guys. You all make me laugh, and you all have great book-taste!
Hey! Sorry I have been MIA. I had the not so great idea to redo my kitchen backsplash and it has been a fiasco from the beginning. Also factor in the flu and well it’s been a crazy few weeks. I have so many posts and comments to catch up on. Thanks for contacting me Amy!

Happy Anniversary, Maryse! I first stumbled bleary-eyed into your blog after Googling “What to read after Twilight” during an all-nighter with my first born… who has just turned 10! Going back through your site to see how long ago it was… and found my first comment to you on that post from July 2009! OMG. Since then, I’ve been a committed daily reader… every morning with my coffee, I find out how the ladies are doing and what gems you’ve discovered for us each day.
You (and all your fantastic regular commenters) have given me soooo many great recs over the years! JR Ward, Kristen Ashley, Colleen Hoover, LH Cosway, Amelia Hutchins, Mariana Zapata, Alessandra Torre, Brittainy Cherry, CS Pacat… Maryse, you brought 50 Shades to my small WI town before anyone here knew Christian Grey! The list just goes on forever.
Thank you for your daily cheer and incredible work over the years! My life (and Kindle) has been forever changed. ❤️ ❤️❤️
*hugs* Katie
Thank you so much for letting me know. It makes me smile to think of you all here with me, all this time. ❤️❤️❤️ You guys make me so happy.
I love this!! Sorry, I’m late to the game too!! Life has been….sigh….just rough. Am I too late to submit my answers??
Here’s my answers anyway…..
1. Around what year did you become a regular commenter on the blog? 2013 or 2014 or 2015…..I seriously can’t remember!!
2. First buddy read on the blog? I don’t know if I’ve ever done a BR here…..because really, I’m just not good at it. I always fall behind everyone and that frustrates me!
3. Moment that made you laugh the most? Bev always makes me laugh! Always! But Amy was kinda my first friend here and we had our little sarcastic battles with each other – – love you both!
4. Book you’ve probably rec’d the most? A Lover’s Lament by K.L. Greyson, This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas, Mists of the Serengeti by Leylah Attar
5. Book you read because of a Maryse rec? Beautiful Disaster of course!!
6. Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? They have totally changed. Fifty Shades got me back into reading, but then I became bored with the erotica romance. I love a great psycho-thriller now, something that leaves my jaw dropping at the end. Also, you girls have introduced me to fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, etc…….completely out of my box, but I’ve come to love them!
7. What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? Charley Davidson series…..I listened to the girls here and LOVE this series!!
8. Do you think she will like it? SHE WILL LOVE IT!!
9. Its Friday link an upbeat song. …..I can’t think of any right now, but am a pure country girl living in a big city! Lol!
10. If we met what would you want us to do together? Wouldn’t it be fun? We could eat, and read, and drink, and read, and read, and read, and read!! Hahaha!!
Maryse……seriously, this is the best blog ever!!!! Love you all!!!!
Cheryl & Jean!!
I told you they liked you Amy.
YAY!!! I added the Jean & Cheryl’s in the main post. 😀
YAY Katie!!! I’m so glad you’re here with us my friend!! <3
I just added Nay’s into the main post up there. 😀
Here’s my answers anyway…..

2. First buddy read on the blog? All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover last year.
3. Moment that made you laugh the most? I love Bev’s recaps!

5. Book you read because of a Maryse rec? Drive by Kate Stewart
6. Have your reading taste changed since you first started visiting the blog? My tastes go back and forth all the time. I get bored with one genre and read another for awhile and then bounce to something else.
7. What’s a rec you still want Maryse and others to read? The Last Hour of Gann by R. Lee Smith OR Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens (two VERY different books)
8. Do you think she will like it? I think so…
9. Its Friday link an upbeat song. ….I’m at work so I can’t sneak in a music link…but I’m with Jean…it would be country (at least today it would).
10. If we met what would you want us to do together? Wouldn’t it be fun? An all night slumber party where we could eat, drink, talk books, read and talk books some more!!!
I totally used Jean’s post as my format up above to do my 10 questions …yep laziness is sometimes my middle name!
Thanks again Maryse for the specialness that you’ve created here with your little blog! Without it, we would have never been brought together…it’s such a special place! Hugs to you!! Yay for all of us!
