Tee hee!! I couldn’t help myself. I am a Cara McKenna addict and I’m so excited for her upcoming book! Lay It Down: A Desert Dogs Novel <— This TUESDAY!!! It just seems that I love everything that I have read by her, so far, and I have just discovered a plethora of her books still waiting to be read.

In fact, I just found out she writes under yet another pen name!!!!

YAY Pam!! What an opportunity to highlight my favorite 2014 books so far! And going over these books once again, I can confirm I’m still 100% in love with ’em!

So here they are. These are the books that had me riveted, glued to my seat, and titillated with swoooooon-induced (and/or nerve-induced) butterflies in my stomach. 😉

Maryse’s 2013 Top Twenty Five Favorite Books List

What an amazing book year we’ve had! From all of the incredible signings (like my favorite —> Book Bash *grins*) to finally getting to “meet and greet” with our favorite authors, and discovering new ones! To meeting some of our favorite cover models, and even better, meeting each other! To devouring highly anticipated sequels, and to making new online reading buddies… this year has rocked our reading world. Or at least, it has, mine.

We’ve been happy reading machines, indulging our one-click fingers, happily hoarding ebooks, and overloading our TBR lists to the point of bursting! But our e-readers can take it, right? So why not. 😉 The book-world is our oyster! read more

My Top Five Summer Reads – 2013

Whoa. Halloween decorations are already popping up everywhere. How am I so late with this, you ask? LOL!!! Apparently, the end of summer has officially arrived… a week or so ago. *whoops* I don’t think Florida received the memo yet… (87° right now) and ’cause of that, I er… “missed” the memo, too. Hey if it looks like summer, and feels like summer, it’s summer! And October in Florida didn’t get the memo either, ’cause I’m still not getting that cold blast of brisk air in the morning. My Top Ten Dark Reads

I’ve been asked for a list like this… oh… for about a year now. Ever since I came out with my little “dark read” obsession. What a relief it was to find out I wasn’t alone in my weird thrill.

Dena: any chance you will put together a list of “dark” reads on your blog?

Alicia: She has dark reads…how dark do you wanna go? She’s got the BDSM dark, but if you want darker, there’s a few out there that aren’t on here.
