Book Review – After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

After I Do: A Novel
<—- WOW!!!!! What a wonderful book!!!! EASILY one of the best books I’ve read this year. Easily a 5 star read (plus?), in my opinion. And EASILY one of my all-time favorites. I will never forget this one, and what it did to my heart. It put me through the ringer, but perfectly so. Nothing contrived, nothing over-the-top, nothing eye-rolling. Just… good (and bad) emotional perfection.

My latest TBR List – These just might rock my world, and I want to read them SO bad!

Time for me to organize my own personal TBR list, but I’m gonna share it with y’all in case anyone wants to follow along with me, or pipe up about their favs that are listed (or not listed). 😀

In theory, making this list is supposed to help keep me at least somewhat organized in my upcoming reading, and re-“find” those older treasures that I keep losing in the book-finds-frey. 😉 I say in “theory”, ’cause we already know all about my *squirreling* issues. read more

Book Review – Rainfall by Melissa Delport

Oh WOW! Now THAT WAS intense, and crazy, and exciting and heartwarming and heart-wrenching and soooooo…. wow. I have a lump in my throat. I think it’s my heart. It’s stuck! Unforgettable!!!

I had NO idea what I was getting into. None. Except for a few comments (some making me VERY excited to read this, and some… well. I misinterpreted a few and I’m glad they weren’t actual spoilers). *phew* Thank you to EVERYONE that did their best to keep mum on the actual contents of this book. Everyone that left a comment in my direction, y’all did so perfectly. I thought I might know too much (at first, going in), but I didn’t, and I got to experience this one in full. read more

Book Review – Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid

Neanderthal Seeks Human (Knitting in the City #1)
<— Yes it is a “smart” romance but so much more than that. It’s smart (for so many reasons, aside from the highly intelligent, yet totally goofy heroine). The writing is delightfully witty, the characters are silly-sweet, the life they lead, quirky yet believable (well… except for *that* crazy thing that happened, but I totally loved it, and how it was described. LOL!!!), and you’ll be grinning the whole way through. Grinning, except when you’re scowling through a few of those “OH NO HE DIDN’T!!” moments, which just makes this love story that much better. read more

What To Read After Kristen Ashley…

Oh. Em. Gee!! I can’t believe I don’t have this list up yet, considering:

She’s one of my absolute favorite authors and I ALWAYS CRAVE reading books that have her “feel”… her guys are MY kind of heroes. These are the guys that make my heart dip, put butterflies in my stomach, make me furious and want to cry, and put me in a love fog. I *need* that chase, and her guys sure give it to us. But when they give in… OMG swoooooooooooon!!! And then they make us SOOOO mad. Right off the bat (usually) and well… throughout. The perfect romance angst, if you ask me. Her romance books, and her alpha-males are the ultimate reading experience! Her heroines always feel like ME. I can always relate to them, connect to them. BECOME them.

I can’t even choose just one certain book for a “What to read after… ” because ALL of KA’s books are uniquely hers, and uniquely amazing, and we’re always just looking for more, that feel like her.

  • To me, she’s the queen of bad-boy/flawed-yet-heroic/moody/alpha-jerks/yet absolute sweetheart alpha-males.
  • And EVERYONE is always asking for more like KA. We are all KA addicts here, so let’s make this the ultimate “KA-feel” finds list!
