Since I read “The Plan” I’ve been on a search for more like that (funny, but also the whole office romance thing), and not only did this book come up, those that had read it were adamant. I mean… “favorite book ever” kind of adamant. Re-read, adamant. MUST READ adamant. One of the most often recommended books in the last week!

Sandra: Can you keep a secret? That’s the name of the book!!! Such a great read and same humor as The Plan… She spills all her secrets to a stranger on a plane and he turns out to be the new CEO at her company…  It was HILARIOUS read more

You know… I don’t have much experience in the “rom-com” genre, as I tend to gravitate towards emotional devastation when it comes to my reads (<— Yep. I’m a sucker for punishment). But it seems every time I read a funny one, I end up loving it! <— Fan-freakin-tastic!! It was almost everything I was in the mood for, especially that “hard-to-get” guy that was finally NOT doing the chasing.

Ahhhhh how I love a book where the girl has been pining for awhile (in this case, almost a year) and where the guy shows absolutely no interest. Truly. No interest. And I mean none.

Transcendence
A love story involving a caveman? Definitely not my usual. I mean, sure… I do prefer my book-heroes to be alphas,  so in essence, you might think that the whole “caveman” thing would be right up my alley. *shrug* Not really. neutral

Or so I thought.

Oh… I was curious, for sure. Considering that fact that I’ve loved this author’s writing in the past (her other books, one of ’em – Surviving Raine – being one of my all-time favorites). I was enticed by the idea of reading something so unique, despite the “weird-factor”. <— Actually. Scratch that. I kinda love that “weird” factor. Hermits, escorts (<—how does that even work out?), kidnappers, forbidden love “couples” and now… cavemen. 😉 As long as the main focus is on love (or some weird rendition of “love”), I’m in! read more

<— I was already pretty curious about this one when the “serials” (4 installments) were bundled into one whole book (this one entitled “The Dumont Diaries“). I totally one-clicked that. After all, this was Alessandra Torre we were talking about, and she rocked my world with her crazy, twisty, “OMG I didn’t even see that coming!!!” love triangle “Sex Love Repeat“.
