Okay this question had me bouncing in my seat with absolute giddy glee ’cause I KNEW she just HAD to read one of my favorite series EVER.

So I’ll let you know as well, but while we’re here, take a look at what she loves, and let me know if you have recommendations for her and I’ll add those too. 🙂

Reader Recommendations – Books and series that have a similar feel to “This Is Us”

Sonia is looking for more like “This Is Us” (the TV series). She gives a couple of examples of books that have a similar feel, to her. Have any suggestions?

She asks:

RE: “This is us-like” books

When you watch This is us. Yes Jack Pearson the glue of the family. But I like the more family/cozy vibe of the book.

I want to read a book like the show. In my personal opinion I think Sweet Gum tree by Katherine Allred is a close touch.

The main character doesn’t need to die. But there needs to be other stories. read more

HAPPY SUNDAY!!! 😊 WHAT ARE YOU IN THE MOOD TO READ? It’s been awhile since I asked what everyone’s reading and sitting and catching up with our book crew after the hurricane, I have a book roll call for us. So if you’re looking for something to read, I bet you I (we) have just what you’re looking for in this list. Fantasy Romance (or “Romantasy”) dominates these days (and on this list, as well) but we have a ton of other tried-and-true must reads from other genres too. read more

Hortensia wants some good boys! There is nothing better than a true gentleman, a respecter of women, and of people as a whole, with a heart of gold. Oh surrrrre…. I’ve had my HUGE love of bad boy alpha males and all of the angsty game playing (my blog was practically built off the backs of these kinds of heroes), but as I’ve matured, I’ve developed a preference for a good, openly loving, secure man (and YAY ME!! I have one). So I can understand the need to read them, too.

And while I have my own list of these book boyfriend sweethearts, I’d love to add to it right here. read more

<— BEHOLD!!! MY NEW MINI BOOK SHELF!! I just got this a month or so ago, and have been dying to put it together ’cause it looked SO cool in the photos. I had NO idea yet what I was going to put in it since there’s limited book space.

Would I put my absolute 100% favorites in it? Or… orrrrrr!!!! Would I create a cool color-scheme (<— that one was VERY close to what I ALMOST did, as that was what I was building at first). But then… I saw them. My perfect idea. I decided on my obvious (and very serious collections) that I researched obsessively a few years ago. And was delighted to be able to find, piece by piece. My first editions… signed Twilight series (all protectively covered in that clear plastic stuff)!!!! read more
