TASHA’S LATEST PSYCH-THRILLER RECOMMENDATIONS!! She’s been my go to for years now for all things twisty and jaw-dropping (I’d even say I discovered my love of psych-thriller because of her). And now my book twin just rocked my world with one of her past psych-thriller recommendations (Book Review – The Lies I Tell by Julie Clark) and she’s got a mini list of more!

Solstice <— ROMANTIC THRILLER/PSYCH-THRILLER/GAVE ME ALL THE DIRTY RED (by way of jealous obsessed villainess that I loved to hate)/VERITY (ONLY by way of keeping me on that psycho-romance edge) LOVE TRIANGLE/EVIL BEST FRIEND FEELS!! I highlighted WAYYYY too much of this book, I couldn’t control myself.
Okay so I did something crazy yesterday and started and finished a book in ONE day!!!! HOLY MOLY I have not done that in YEARS!! It usually takes me a few days now (and even a week) to read a book since I have a million things to do, and blog posts (and book lists!!) to make, and distractions and mind wanderings etc etc.
The Lies I Tell: A Novel <— Another author that I AM LOVING!!! I read one by her a couple of years ago that had quite a fun/thrilling journey (and a really original storyline that had me imagining all sorts of things). And this one is one of those too. It was fantastic and while at first it had all the makings of a scaryish psych-thriller (and don’t get me wrong… it was), it wasn’t as… psycho as I thought it would be. And I’d tell you why, but that would be a spoiler, though once you read it, I think you’ll get it (as this is totally my catnip!!). 😉
Oooooh I love a good domestic thriller that involves a sociopathic heroine and I was captured by this one right from the very start! AND I love this author’s writing style. But even more fascinating was the creeeeepy thing that was happening to her, directly through her young daughter. And yep, creepy kids is my psych-thriller catnip too!! So I had BOTH!!! BLURB JOLT! YAY ME!!!
I learned sociopaths are not necessarily what we expect it to be (psycho-scary, or dangerous). I’m supposing that would be more along the lines of psychopaths. I’ve learned a ton about sociopaths from this book as the heroine learned about herself, through therapy. Fascinating!
Daisy is looking for books like these, but with a particular aspect, to the main character. OHHH I LOVE obsessive/stalker love (😮 in BOOKS!! ONLY ever in books!!!). And I’ve read two out of the three books she’s mentioned (and I LOVED them) so now I’m so curious ’cause I LOVE a good anti-hero, but also especially an anti-heroine.
An obsessed, conniving villainess. I revel in her cleverness… cringe with her inevitable mess-ups, and I crash with her in her downfall.
