A Moment (Moments Series, New Adult Romance: Book 1)
Labelled new adult, and has all of the characteristics of a “new adult” read (young twenty-somethings with past struggles making their way into their adulthood). And the hero was a hardened ex-military now MMA fighter (yep, that sold me and I one-clicked it on Amazon without even downloading the sample ;)), struggling with depression due to a traumatic event from his childhood. You’ll “get” what happened, soon into the read.
My Book Reviews
My Favorite Short Stories (plus reader recommendations!)
Sometimes, I’ve got a few of hours to kill before “something”. Like say… while I wait in the car as my husband does his “man” shopping (instead of dragging my feet behind my husband at a home improvement store to stare at wood for hours. Or bricks).
Or like, I dunno. A slow period during work (or an extra long break) where all you can do is sit and wait. An extra long wait in the waiting room. Oh! I know. A plain, train or automobile trip that could go by in a heartbeat if you had something awesome to read.
Book Review – This Girl by Colleen Hoover
No real spoilers below, but if you haven’t yet read “Slammed” and “Point of Retreat” I must insist that you read those FABULOUS 5-star books, and then… top it all off with THIS book. It’s the cherry on top.
<—- This Girl… THIS book… completes me. Or at least, it completes my love for this series which is pretty close to the same thing. 😉 There was so much to “This Girl” that, emotionally, left me speechless.
As I told my friend Kirsten…
Book Review – After Hours by Cara McKenna
After Hours
<—- Here is another one off of my latest re-arranged “to-be-read” list that was totally worth moving to the top! Loved it, and it was one of my favorites so far outta the bunch. 🙂 I’ve been doing great with sticking with that list over the last two weeks! Got a bunch of ’em knocked out and am having a blast sticking to my own reading plan. I’ll admit, it’s not an exact science (and there’s always room for adding more), but I chose a bunch that looked up my alley yet had different themes for my different reading moods and it’s been fun taste-testing them all.
Book Review – Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines
Twisted Perfection: A Rosemary Beach Novel (The Rosemary Beach Series Book 5)
Another “sweet candy” read by an author that has delivered one of my favorite steamy sweet reads in the past (see my Fallen Too Far review). This one was quick and easy and I’d say on the heat level, absolutely the hottest Abbi Glines book yet. Apparently I had quite the face on me at one point, as my husband asked me what the heck I was reading… YEP. MY silly grin (and bugged-out eyes) said it ALL and had him chuckling.
