If I Were You (Inside Out Trilogy)
Of course, you can imagine I was really excited to get to this book considering the “Fifty Shades” was hinted at in regards to the genre, and mood of this book. This one’s a totally different story, but yep I can definitely see it in some ways. The misunderstood millionaire (and emotionally damaged) hero, and the “normal” girl possibly getting in over her head. Not *quite* to that intensity and emotion, at least not yet since Fifty Shades, to me, was an emotionally deep and addicting love story right from the start.
My Book Reviews
Lisa Renee Jones – The Inside Out Trilogy
Really enjoyed the first book in the upcoming trilogy, and very much want to know more. Here’s the quick “gist” of it:
Sara involves herself in looking for “Rebecca”, a stranger who has recently just… “disappeared” and nobody seems too worried about it. After finding Rebecca’s private journals, Sara makes it her mission to find the truth. Entrenching herself into Rebecca’s prestigious and affluent “art” world, she meets two gorgeous and wealthy men, but there’s just something… off about them. Working for one, and dating the other she begins questioning if she be involving herself with either. And can she help herself not to?
Clash by Nicole Williams is LIVE Right Now!! (Sequel to “Crash”)
Well lookie here! This is what I woke up to:
Kirsten: “Clash. It’s live Maryse!”
OMG I barely saw it coming! Thank you for the heads-up Kirsten. Did you guys love Jude in Crash (book #1)? I know I ABSOLUTELY did… and I remember thinking right at that ending scene… how awesome it would be to have a “college life” sequel.
Well the author made my wish come true. 😀 YAY me!!! YAY US!!!
So here it is, the sequel and so soon after the first. I LOVE not having to wait forever between books. Keeps the momentum going.
Book Review – Seduced in the Dark by CJ Roberts
Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet – book #2)
An incredible, well-paced sequel to book #1 (Captive in the Dark), and sorely needed. In fact, I think it made book #1 that much better. If you haven’t read the first one yet, avoid this review for now. These are very “dark” reads, so I suggest reading my review of book #1 to get a feel for it. As I was discussing these (and especially this one) with a friend, I described them pretty much like this:
“… these are not romance novels, but more like psychological thrillers (horror?) with a huge focus on evolving emotions, and heartrending situations…”
Seduced In The Dark by CJ Roberts is Available!!
It’s live!! Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet) Woooo hoooooo a day early!
