20 of the Latest Bargain e-Books & Reader Recommendations – July 31st 2015

<— Look what was just released today (from one of my “old-school paranormal” favorite series days). This was my first choice to suggest as a “What to read if you love the BDB…” had a similar feel, and had me swooning in all that alpha-vampire romance angst. Human women, with a “mark” that (unbeknownst to her) meant she was meant for one of these vamps. And this is the latest one!

What I’m currently reading? I have NO idea yet… I’m feeling all thriller-like, and there’s one below that has sparked my interest BIG time. I was still recovering from my latest much-loved read (p.s. here’s my review of Rush by Emma Scott), but I’m now ready to move on!! But consider this MY own personal recommendation today! 😀 read more

Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – July 28th 2015

July 28, 2015 By Maryse 266 Comments

Happy new release day, and… *squeeee!!!* Brand new contemporary romance by J.R. Ward on the list!!”The Bourbon Kings” is LIVE!!! Okay so from the blurb, she’s part of the “estate staff” for the wealthy family of a huge bourbon company, fell in love with one of them… and they had a bitter break up. He’s back at the estate, a few years later, with his wife. OUCH!!

PLUS! Some of today’s highlights that have blurbs that are already jolting me? EASY! Racing the Sun (one of my fave authors + she becomes a nanny to 2 bratty kids of a moody ex-racer), Pretty Baby (psych thriller and the blurb DEFINITELY got me. It’s the follow up to “The Good Girl” and she’s on a train and sees a desolate looking woman and a baby, and brings them home with her… Eeeeeep!!!) and Tattered on My Sleeve (biker book and they are in love until something happens where now they can’t stop trying to hurt each other – sounds tumultuous!!) and A Real Cowboy Knows How to Kiss (I don’t usually gravitate to cowboy books, but I LOVED her description… someone nobody ever noticed before, and he’s a prisoner that does), and Forever Bound (hired to be the “girlfriend” to famous people, and her latest contract is about to run out…) and A Dream for Love (she wins a stay at a Hollywood star’s vacation home, and he shows up, and wants her to leave), and Mate (released by her kidnapper/master that she loves… and now is alone with a baby)… read more

Author & Book News Round Up – Sunday July 26th 2015

July 26, 2015 By Maryse 17 Comments

Happy Sunday and end of the week. I hope your weekend was full of awesome reading! Let’s take a look at some of the latest author news, from this last week, shall we? You know me, I love making lists and rounding up info. 😀

<— Now of course today’s biggest news is that one there to the left. Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian on SALE TODAY (ONLY?)

More news?

Okay… how about what I’m currently reading and LOVING? This book is freaking AWESOME already and I have a feeling I’ll be 5-starring this. The writing quality, the dialogue, the internal monologue, the slow and steady start (that is just perfect!!!!!). I’ve already been infuriated twice (*gasp* The indignation!!) and yet I know my heart will be melting in it’s own puddle of love-goo soon. 😉 RUSH (City Lights: New York City Book 3) can be read as a standalone too!!! Thank you for the recommendation Jillian. So far SO AMAZING!!!! *big squeeeeeezy hug* to you!!! 😀
Author Emma Chase is having a giveaway on Goodreads!! She says: “If you haven’t entered the Sustained Giveaway yet – get on that now!! 30 early print copies up for grabs (US only).”
Author Bonnie Dee just released a new book a few days ago that missed my “new release” post, but it’s still news so here it is! The Tutor (both m/m and ghosts!) She’s always been SO unique in her story telling. I just love her!
Author Penelope Ward will be releasing a new book shortly, entitled “Sins of Sevin”. FORBIDDEN LOVE my friends!!! It will be releasing September 2015 and while it’s not up for pre-order as of yet, but the cover will be revealed VERY soon. Just check out this “mini-blurb”. OMG!!!

From the New York Times Bestselling author of Stepbrother Dearest, comes a new kind of forbidden love story…Matthew 5:28 “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”What happens when the one you want is the only one you can’t have?

Author Mia Asher is currently working on Sweetest Venom!! She tells us… “I’m writing. I’m writing. I’m writing.” She estimates her book will be released in the fall. She also says:

“My deadline for SV is fast approaching, and I really need to pour all my attention and focus on Blaire and her men so that you can have her story in your hands soon. ;)” read more
