Still working on this magical Friday Finds post, as I’m doing research through a bunch of awesome recommendations I’ve received, so keep checking back. We’re gonna get there. ;)

In the meantime, my own personal recommendation is for this sexy-sweet and surprising angsty romance read. Love triangle, surprise twists, heartwarming but not before tearing out your heart a little… and a few times. —> Here’s my book review for Undeniably You by Jewel E. Ann.

Tee hee!! :D

P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

EBOOK BARGAINS & READER RECOMMENDATIONS (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).

  1. Hidden in the Stars: HITS (a Falling Stars novel) Book 2 by Sadie Grubor <— JUST RELEASED ROCK STAR BOOK that can be read as a standalone. Suffering heartbreak, acting like a rock star in public, sex drugs and rock and roll. And now he’s a judge on a TV show… OMG I just CLUED in to what series this was. So many loved it like crazy about 2 or 3 years ago and there hasn’t been a release in a while. WOWEE!!! LOL! Very cool!
  2. Everything I Have (Everything I Want Book 3) by Natalie Barnes <— JUST RELEASED ROCK STAR BOOK!! (not a standalone from what I gather from reviews and blurbs)
  3. Coveted (Pandora’s Playground Series Book 1) by Alannah Lynne <— JUST RELEASED & DEAD HUSBAND’S BEST FRIEND THAT CAN’T TOLERATE HER ALERT!! & super bargain priced!! And the one she wants can barely tolerate her alert!!!! “…there’s only one man who makes Muriel yearn for the intimate Dom/submissive connection the way her husband did, and that’s his best friend, Mathew Galindo … a man who can barely tolerate her presence…” FUN!!! *waggles eyebrows*
  4. Seaside Nights (Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers, Book 5) by Melissa Foster <— JUST RELEASED EMOTIONAL SCARS ALERT!! She owns her own tattoo shop, and he’s a boxer that plays guitar on weekends in a bar… “He’s honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile–but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle–only the battle she thinks he’s waging isn’t the one that threatens to tear them apart…
  5. Firestorm (The Elemental Series Book 3) by Shannon Mayer <— JUST RELEASED!
  6. Sanctum: A Motorcycle Club Romance Novel by Sienna Valentine <— JUST RELEASED STANDALONE BIKER BOOK! ”I have no right coming back here. No right asking for help. Not after the way I left everything – the way I left Jase. But what choice do I have? I’m dead if I don’t.”
  7. Ryker (Kings of Korruption MC Book 1) by <— JUST RELEASED BIKER BOOK! She’s on the run with her sister, and HE finds her bloody and battered… “He’s gorgeous, rugged and too cocky for his own damned good. But he’s a biker – exactly the type of man I’ve been running from. I have no business getting involved with a man like him…”
  8. Bane by Kristin Mayer <— JUST RELEASED BROODY PROTECTOR ALERT! Rage can become just like a fire, clearing all in its path, killing anything that gets in its way. That’s what happens to a man when the woman he desires is put in harm’s way.

MichelleS is hooked!! “Sniffle Sniffle. Just finished second book in The Chronicles of the Warlands series. Stupid plague. At least Simus is living it up at the castle that randy guy! I love all the supporting characters in this series. Moving on to the next one. Why are these still 8 bucks? This series is 8 years old!!! ARGH! Book budget blown with this series.” (wow… it MUST be good!!) :D
  15. Louder Than Love (Love & Steel Novel, A) by Jessica Topper <— TRUELY AWESOME ROMANCE READ ALERT! It has everything I love… and just enough of it. One of my favorites from a year or two ago and Lisa just discovered it! “I just wanted to share….just finished Louder Than Love by Jessica Topper and it was sooooo good. The cover and blub made me think it was another light rock star read but it is so much more. Just beautifully written, sad and tender and hopeful. Lovely.” (I gave it 4.5 stars! My review)
  16. Station Eleven: A novel by Emily St. John Mandel <— POST APOCALYPTIC FAVORITE ON SALE ALERT! Amy found us this one on sale and I know TONS loved it, here. “ I forgot to mention this but Station Eleven is on sale right now for anyone who hasn’t picked it up yet! :D” THIS one’s on my TBR list. Like… my MAIN one. ;) MichelleS says: “Station Eleven is one of my top reads this year so far. It’s so DIFFERENT. I remember all about that one, though. And I find myself recommending it a lot and talking about it a lot.” and Fabi agrees: “I read Station Eleven too at Michelle’s suggestion. It was a slow start for me but once I got going with it I love love loved it.”
  17. The Heart Has Reasons (A romantic-suspense thriller) by Martine Marchand <— Nancy found us this one! “I know I have posted this before, but it remains one of my favorites even though I read it a few years back. The Heart Has Reasons (A Romanic Suspense Thriller) by Martine Marchard is on sale… If you haven’t read it yet, now is your chance.

  19. Fourth Debt (Indebted Book 5) by Pepper Winters <— RECENT DARK RELEASE & TESSA LOVED (or … hated? LOL!) ALERT! Yep.. Tessa is making fun of some of us!! She says: “All you sillies scared of starting the Indebted series before it’s complete. I’d be scared to feel all that torture with no break. My review of the last book involved the F word… a lot! I’m petrified of the last one. Though, that second debt was probably the worst to me. *shudders*
  20. Souls Unfractured (Hades Hangmen Book 3) by Tillie Cole <— HOLY MOLY TONS OF REVIEWS & ALMOST ALL 5 STARS ALERT!!! And our very own Ela loved this recent release, too! “Get ready for Flame’s story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was powerful, emotional, and VERY intense! I even shed a few tears! But overall WONDERFUL!

Psst. 8/25 Fallen Crest University. :P Now to look at Station Eleven.

Jean August 14, 2015 at 1:05 PM

Ahhh I’ve had Station Eleven forever on my TBR….damn I gotta read that one!

Hawthorne & Heathcliff……SGT feel? Automatic 1-click!

Still reading book 2 of the Hades Hangmen series by Tillie Cole and then will be moving onto #3! I love this series!

bev August 14, 2015 at 1:17 PM

The winter sea was on sale yesterday. I one clicked it so fast, lol.

Fabi August 14, 2015 at 1:24 PM

I pre-ordered Something Beautiful because…Jamie McGuire. duh
I also pre-ordered Tyrant. I’m just building that series but won’t read it until it’s complete.
I’ll pre-order Fallen Crest as soon as Maryse adds a link to it. :-)
One-clicking is easy. Finding time to read all of this is the hard part.

bev August 14, 2015 at 1:24 PM

Oh, just one clicked Good Time Bad Boy. Silly title but the reviewer gave it an A- and had a lot of those descriptive words I look for.
And can I also mention Eyes of Silver Eyes of Gold again? Was such a great re-read.

Fabi August 14, 2015 at 1:26 PM

I meant to add that I can’t believe the Nightwalker series is at an end with this release. :-( It’s hard to say goodbye to old favorites.

Maryse August 14, 2015 at 1:28 PM

Eeeep!! Yes! Thank you Tessa I added it. :D

Maryse August 14, 2015 at 1:29 PM

Okay what the heck is SGT feel?

*sigh* Finally. I’ve been trying tot figure that one out for awhile now…

Anne August 14, 2015 at 1:33 PM

Guys if you loved The Sweet Gum Tree you need to read Hawthorne & Heathcliff! I finished it yesterday and it was amazing! One of my faves this year.

So I think I am going to read King since Tyrant is coming out in a couple of days :D

Anne August 14, 2015 at 1:37 PM

Just realized Sustained by Emma Chase is coming out soon too! I really liked the first one in the series so looking forward to this one :)

bev August 14, 2015 at 1:54 PM

A Place to Call Home now THAT has a SGT feel. Or maybe SGT has a A Place to Call Home feel, lol.

Ann August 14, 2015 at 2:01 PM

Hi Everyone
Thank you for solving my book question. It is Mean Steak.
You guys are the best!

Ann August 14, 2015 at 2:02 PM

I meant Streak.

Ela August 14, 2015 at 2:07 PM

UY is breaking my heart!

Jean August 14, 2015 at 2:24 PM

I pre-ordered Something Beautiful too Fabi….that’s a no-brainer! Ha! What’s the Nightwalker series?

Bev, you have been talking about A Place to Call Home for a long time now…..i gotta check it out!

Linda August 14, 2015 at 2:28 PM

Thanks for clearing up SGT feel Maryse!!! Lol had no idea. I’ve gotta get on that one!!!! UY was just an amazing read for me. Are Jewel E. Ann’s other books specifically Holding You series as good?

Grey August 14, 2015 at 2:29 PM

Getting ready to go out of town for the weekend, debating between UY, H&H and Warprize…or maybe Station Eleven?

Oh, there’s another one coming out Cocky Bastard on 8/17 by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland!

Jean August 14, 2015 at 2:38 PM

Grey, yeah that Cocky Bastard looks good…..the cover alone…um hello!!

Jean August 14, 2015 at 2:40 PM

Bev, who is the author of A Place to Call Home…..there are lots of books with that name! Thanks!

Jean August 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM

Loving Mr Daniels is free today!

Jean August 14, 2015 at 3:04 PM

And Art & Soul by same author (Brittany Cherry) also free, but haven’t read that one yet. Loving Mr Daniels is definitely worth it if you guys haven’t read it yet!

Fabi August 14, 2015 at 3:10 PM

Thanks Jean! I got a copy of LMD for my Kindle. I had it on Nook. I think I’m going to get Cocky Bastard too. I like those authors and gritty titles always call my name. I’m going to scroll up to see if Maryse has a link for it. And if the Fallen Crest link was added. Can y’all tell its payday? LOL

bev August 14, 2015 at 3:15 PM

Jean, Deborah Smith. :-)

Ela August 14, 2015 at 3:20 PM

TYRANT IS LIVE ON IBOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jean August 14, 2015 at 3:29 PM

Thanks bev! Just checked it out and I want it!

Lauren August 14, 2015 at 3:32 PM

I read Wrecking Ball last spring…..SO GOOD!!!! It’s in my Top 10 List that I’ve been slaving over for WEEKS but not yet ready to send to Maryse.

Amy August 14, 2015 at 3:48 PM

I forgot about A Place to Call Home!! Thanks for the reminder Bev. :D

Up next for me is either My Biggest Mistake, Hawthorne and Heathcliff, A Place to Call Home (now that I’ve been reminded of it) or Station Eleven. That’s actually a narrowed-down list!

Aaaaaaaand let the peanut throwing commence…

Amy August 14, 2015 at 3:49 PM

All this time you didn’t know what SGT was, Maryse? Even during the SGT-SR impasse with me and Jean?? *snort* Sorry, that snort wasn’t nice.

*turns head away and snickers* :P

bev August 14, 2015 at 4:21 PM

Amy, have you ever watched the movie Waitress?

Amy August 14, 2015 at 4:42 PM

Yes I have, Bev! :D It was such a cute movie and those pies…yummmmmmy! I actually found recipes online specific to the movie and tried out the Falling In Love pie, the Mermaid something pie and the Brie and ham pie. O. M. G. I was such a glutton with the FIL pie and ate so much of it that hubby didn’t get any “love” that night…kinda defeated the purpose of it, LOL!!!

What did you think of it?

bev August 14, 2015 at 4:49 PM

I thought it was great. And yes the pies! Those scenes were great. I was just reminded of it and thought she is kind of an Amy heroine, lol. I loved her journey and loved the ending. That one letter she wrote, Dear Damn *spoiler* lol.

Andee August 14, 2015 at 5:14 PM

Presently Perfect by Alison G. Bailey is $0.99! Haven’t read, but interested since I loved Present Perfect so much.

Also, The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty is $3.99 and was around $10 for a while. My friends have raved about this book.

bev August 14, 2015 at 5:20 PM

So, Warprize is 6.36. Is this sale price for this book, is it usually 8?

Tessa August 14, 2015 at 6:45 PM

Jean! *squee* Soooooon! Oh and thank you about Loving Mr. Daniels and Art and Soul. Now, I can actually read LMD.

Maybe next month on Warprize. I’ve honestly got so many to read right now *yeah!* I’m overloaded. Again YEAH! All the recommendations, though, it’s on my wishlist. Oh, I haven’t read the review on Undeniably You, because I bought it and want to go in blind. You all were so happy/ sad over it, I have to read it. Especially with that cover!!

Coming Soon by Christy Gissendaner is free today. :) Another that was in that wishlist.

bev August 14, 2015 at 6:52 PM

You polish ladies are rubbing off on me. Picked up 2 today. Essie Sable Collar & The Lace is on. But 2.99 @ grocery outlet, lol.

Ela August 14, 2015 at 6:56 PM

Did I hear Polish as in nationality or polish as in nails???

Ela August 14, 2015 at 6:57 PM

Ela August 14, 2015 at 6:58 PM

Tessa you need to read UY!

Ela August 14, 2015 at 6:59 PM

I finished UY so can lend if anyone needs it and if it’s lendable….

bev August 14, 2015 at 7:00 PM

Ela, nail polish!!!! Michelle & Amy. Only meant nail polish.

bev August 14, 2015 at 7:01 PM

Oh, my.

Ela August 14, 2015 at 7:02 PM

Oh ok. Anyone here from Illinois?

Tessa August 14, 2015 at 8:40 PM

Amy! You are right. If Iron Daughter had been the end, that would have overly sucked. The next one is only 1.99! *jumps happily*

I will read UY, really. I’m just first being a glutton over The Iron Fey series. It’s addictive and it had Fae and and and… it’s that good.

Ela, California here. Bright Side was an eye opener. I never realized how often I say dude until that. *sighs*

bev August 14, 2015 at 10:37 PM

So, quiet here. I’m sitting at home watching tv, trying different nail colors, with coconut oil in my hair. And your all probably out having fun Friday nights. *sigh*
Looking through my books trying to make a decision.

Anne August 14, 2015 at 10:39 PM

Loving King so far! I really want to know who Doe is! Ela so happy you are going to read it too!

LMD was such a great book. Getting Art & Soul! Thanks for the heads up Jean :D

Anne August 14, 2015 at 10:42 PM

Amy read Hawthorne & Heathcliff! So good!!

Tessa August 14, 2015 at 10:56 PM

Bev, let’s be honest. They are all probably reading. :P I’m reading Summer’s Crossing, the 3.5 of the Iron Fey series. It’s short, but good.

Tessa August 14, 2015 at 11:05 PM

See. Anne even mentioned those books that will have me occupied. I have King and LMD *yeah!* awaiting me too!

Amy August 14, 2015 at 11:26 PM

I AM having a fun Friday night! I just made myself a strawberry martini with fresh strawberries and now I’m getting ready to start reading! Hubby is gone so I went with some friends earlier for shopping and sushi, and now I’m settling in to read…well, I have no idea what. My narrowed-down list up there should include 47 Things, but after UY (oh, the feels!) I think I need something a little different.

Oh, and I liked the ending of Waitress as well. It was fitting. What’s funny is that it’s a perfect example of how I may feel *some* with a movie, but I feel so much more with reading. If that had been a book, my gut would have been a little twisted and my heart probably would have hurt a bit, but with the movie I just felt all happy and content. ;)

Amy August 14, 2015 at 11:40 PM

By the way Bev, did you know that the lady who played her friend, the one with the glasses, was the writer/producer and was murdered before the movie even released. So sad. :(

Aaaaaand on a lighter note, LMD was GREAT!!! And I’m definitely getting The Husband’s Secret…I read her book Big Little Lies and really, really liked it. Thank you, Andee!!

LOL Ela!!! I never looked at “polish” that way until you said that. :P

Amy August 14, 2015 at 11:41 PM

One more thing…Tessa, Iron Knight is in *his* POV! :D

bev August 14, 2015 at 11:50 PM

Its very sad. I loved the slight whimsy the movie had, like with the pies. I enjoy things like that. I’ll have to do a re-watch and try the pies some time.
Read all the samples and then let us know. :-P
Amy have you read the Rock Chicks? Indy & Ally, bffs, have a favorite sushi place. It has the beast sushi, is really snobby and so requires the best little dresses and high heels. Its funny how it’s fun to read about even though I find fish gross, never wear dresses, never wear heals, or do my face, lol. IRL I’d rather hang at the pizza place they go to. :-)

Tessa August 15, 2015 at 12:07 AM

*grins* Ditto on the fish, but it still sounds fun. So does the martini. :P Bev, I’m in between. Can I just go to a nice steak house and be happy that way? I occasionally, rarely wear dresses and make up is fun time, almost never because I have to.

Iron King, now I can read it! I wanted to read the free short story first. :)

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 9:15 AM

Good friend had a showing at an art gallery last night so went to that and then out for dinner/drinks after. THEN, I came home and stayed up till about 3:30 finishing UY. :)

Thought I had read Louder Than Love, but can’t find it on kindle, so one-clicking that. A Place To Call Home does sound a lot like SGT.

Next I think is King, since Tyrant comes out tomorrow. It is just 2 books right?!

Then probably Cocky Bastard, Before We Were Strangers and Four Week Fiance that all release over the next few days! ;)

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 9:23 AM

Amy, I went to Sephora yesterday and had the Custom Makeover session and learned how to do a smoky eye and of course got some new products! Worked out great since my makeup was done for Art gallery event went to! :)

Grey August 15, 2015 at 9:35 AM

Checking in by phone on weekend getaway vacation. Reading UY per the recommendations.

Cannot wait for Tyrant!

Andee August 15, 2015 at 10:32 AM

You’re welcome Amy!

Can someone please tell me what UY stands for? Sounds like something I may want to read…

Andee August 15, 2015 at 10:34 AM

Undeniably You…. Figured it out!

Anne August 15, 2015 at 10:43 AM

Finished King and loved it!! That ending though! So happy Tyrant is coming out soon. Preppy *sigh* that really got to me. Great book!

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 11:17 AM

Just started reading King. Complete opposite of the funny, angsty UY; so dark and I’m having trouble getting into it. :(

Ela August 15, 2015 at 11:35 AM

Same Cheryl. But I’m gonna keep at it.

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 12:22 PM

Yeh Ela, we’re buddy reading!! Sure hope King picks up. All the hype about it and waiting for the 2nd book to be released before starting it, I would hate to dnf it.

Anne August 15, 2015 at 1:01 PM

Just keep going Cheryl and Ela. It gets better.

While I wait for Tyrant I am reading The Traveling Man.

bev August 15, 2015 at 1:12 PM

Cheryl, that sounds like fun and exciting for your friend.

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 2:01 PM

Good to hear Anne.

Bev, she’s so talented! She painted a portrait of my kids that is so beautiful and our dog. ;)

bev August 15, 2015 at 2:13 PM

Maryse?!?! Is it your birthday?

Maryse August 15, 2015 at 2:24 PM

LOL bev!!! Yep!! It’s my birthday. It’s my birthday! It’s my birthday!

bev August 15, 2015 at 2:56 PM

*goofy wiggly dancing*

Happy birthday Maryse! Wishing you another fun, happy and healthy trip around the sun!

Happy Birthday Maryse! Wishing you a day full of joy and love. You rock!

Lauren August 15, 2015 at 3:38 PM

Tessa August 15, 2015 at 5:52 PM

Happy Birthday Maryse! Much happy and fun today, with extra book fun. *does silly, wiggly dance too*

Lisa, yes! Someone else who read that mind messery. I wouldn’t be surprised to see cops at the door asking about my Googling after that book. lol Also and FCU fan? *squees* 10 more days left then more squeeing.

Ela August 15, 2015 at 5:54 PM

Yep Cheryl we are! I think I’m at 50%, I prefer to read on iBooks and they never have the %

Ela August 15, 2015 at 5:55 PM

You Field Crest ladies freak me out….that is all!

fabi August 15, 2015 at 6:10 PM

Happy Birthday Maryse!!!

Tessa August 15, 2015 at 6:22 PM

Field Crest? *blinks* You have to read Fallen Crest High now, Ela. Then, you’d get it.

Anne August 15, 2015 at 6:41 PM

I really should read Fallen Crest! Its YA or NA?

fabi August 15, 2015 at 6:45 PM

Anne, you totally should read Fallen Crest. I had it on my tbr for over a year before Ibwas finally urged to read it NOW, and I was blown away. So so so good. It starts off YA and moves into NA. Omg I can’t wait until this last one comes out.

bev August 15, 2015 at 6:56 PM

Why are the FCH ladies scary? Lol.

Tessa August 15, 2015 at 7:21 PM

I think it’s because we’re slightly obsessed. *grins*

bev August 15, 2015 at 9:21 PM

Did you see!?! Two favorite lists today. Laura!!

Anne August 15, 2015 at 9:22 PM

Thank you Fabi! I really should read it soon!

Really liking The Traveling Man so far. Lots of angst! Love it :)

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 9:44 PM

Ela, I’m at 50% too. Finally getting time to read…

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 10:53 PM

Taking a break from King and came across this book, Devious Minds. This part had me LMAO and somehow I think Amy would appreciate it. *snicker*

“When asked how he got his keen skill to catch the ball on almost every play, Porter answered, “People used to throw balls at my head in school. Balls were always flying at my face, hitting my mouth. Once I got a ball in the eye. So one day, I just had enough of balls in my face. So instead of letting them hit me, I just started grabbing them. I was so good at grabbing balls it became second nature. I could smell balls before they came at me.”

fabi August 15, 2015 at 10:58 PM

Oh my God Cheryl. Bahahaha. That is hilarious.

Fabi August 15, 2015 at 11:27 PM

Tyrant just landed in my Kindle. Will whoever reads it please let me know if it ends in a cliffhanger? Pretty, pretty please? I don’t want to risk another Italian, hands waving, head shaking, hair pulling rant like the one I had last time I read a cliffhanger.

Cheryl August 15, 2015 at 11:37 PM

Fabi, I haven’t read Tyrant, but I was wondering the same thing. Came across a comment from the author on Goodreads that first 2 books are about King & Doe and book 3- Lawless will be Bear’s story.

fabi August 15, 2015 at 11:52 PM

Thanks Cheryl. I have King and Tyrant now but I’m not starting the series until I know for sure I won’t have to stop on a cliff.

Cheryl August 16, 2015 at 8:25 AM

Thought of the comments we had previously about man buns when I saw this “ad” for the book With A Twist. Didn’t realize the MC had a bun on the cover, until saw a different shot of the MC’s. Scroll down to see this pic. :)

Ela August 16, 2015 at 8:40 AM

Omg! I’m such a dork….totally meant Fallen and not Field *shrugs* *whimpers* another series to add to the list? *whining*

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 9:04 AM

Yep. Good news though. The first one’s free. :)

MichelleS August 16, 2015 at 10:03 AM

Happy belated birthday Maryse! Just figures…. I am commenting every day for a year and the one day I miss is your birthday. Okay, maybe not every single day, but pretty close! Hope it was wonderful and full of pretty makeup and Nutella and some kind of amazing cake. And I hope you got a gazillion Amazon gift cards.

Tyrant is out today??? Yipee. I may squirrel away from the third in that Warprize series to see what happened. Amy???? Whatcha’ thinking? Gonna read it?

bev August 16, 2015 at 10:46 AM

I’m only 17% in, but really good so far. It is definitely taking its time to set up. Not “slow” but allowing me to get to know the characters and place. The writing and tone is great.
Wade used to be a successful country singer/song writer. Now he is on the bar/fair circuit. He heads back to his home town after losing a gig for getting intoxicated on stage. Daisy is a waitress/student. Working very hard,”She didn’t even need to be full fledged middle class. She just wanted better than generic spaghetti and a rusting rental trailer.”
She works at the bar Wade got his start in in the town he has just come home to. There is more to their back stories, pain and hard decisions.
Like I said only 17% but, oh, have my fingers crossed it stays this strong. Already, feel good saying try a sample, get a feel for it?

bev August 16, 2015 at 10:49 AM

Oh, and it is Good Time Bad Boy by Sonya Clark.
“I make it a habit to stay away from the good time bad boys these days.”

MichelleS August 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM

Bev – I am totally picturing Crazy Heart in my head when I read that blurb! Loved that movie!!! Did you ever see it?

Jean August 16, 2015 at 11:02 AM

Souls Unfractured……..oh my…..this book…..Flame and Maddie…..they are both so broken….but so beautiful at the same time….i can’t put this book down! Flame….sigh….i need to save him! Ugh my heart!

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:10 AM

And so far no insta love.
“Wade did his best to smile. Now he was stuck in Brittain all summer long, and he couldn’t even get drunk to ease the pain. That damn waitress had better be grateful.”
Ok, I’ll try and hold off on talking about it more until I’m at least 50% in. ;-)

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:14 AM

MichelleS, yes. Great movie. The author dedicated the book to her, “three favorite Texans”. One being George Strait and so that is how I’m kinda “seeing” him. Which is good cause seriously GS is so handsome. The book is set in Tennessee, though.
Jean wanting to nurse another broken one, lol.

Anne August 16, 2015 at 1:16 PM

Finished The Traveling Man and liked it. I have to say I liked the first part better (when they were kids and then teenagers) but overall it was a good book. 3.75/5. I have The Traveling Woman ready but I think Tyrant will go first :D

Cheryl August 16, 2015 at 4:15 PM

Cocky Bastard by Vi Keeland just released!!!

Cheryl August 16, 2015 at 4:17 PM

Oops, it’s by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward, two authors whose stories I really like.

fabi August 16, 2015 at 4:26 PM

I like both of those authors too Bev. And -whooee- that cover.

Jean August 16, 2015 at 4:31 PM

Love that Cocky Bastard cover and love both authors too!

Michelle August 16, 2015 at 5:52 PM

Decided to jump into Tyrant *sigh* as much as the ending of King peeved me, I’m curious. Figure I can read this one quick since King was a fast read for me. Hopefully, this wraps up their story with no CH…please no more CH!

fabi August 16, 2015 at 6:58 PM

Cool Michelle. I know you read super fast. So let me know. Although, I just got a loan so I’ll have to read it first anyways. Still, dying to know.

bev August 16, 2015 at 7:19 PM

So, is everyone reading Tyrant or King today?
Haven’t got that much more read, hopefully after dinner. Thinking take out tonight, lol.

Anne August 16, 2015 at 7:29 PM

Just finished Tyrant and wow! It was pretty intense and dark. There’s no cliffhanger so yayy! If you like dark, gritty, sexy stories then this series is for you! Can’t wait for Bear’s story!

I am reading Cocky Bastard next :D

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 7:29 PM

Erm, Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa. I’m finishing the series as much as I can. Well, technically it’s a new series in the same world, but it still is book 5. *rolls eyes* I requested Iron traitor from the library. After I read that one, I’ll be all caught up. :) Then, my TBR, which is WAY to huge now.

bev August 16, 2015 at 7:41 PM

Wanna come out and play?
Last year i saw on a blog a version of Marry, date, or…..*cough* *blush*
Except it was Marry, Kill, *cough*…….so extreme. The men were Barrons, Tack, V. But I say we choose new guys. How about Travis, Rhage, Tate? But if want to play, extreme or safe version?

Cheryl August 16, 2015 at 7:52 PM

Stopped reading King around 50%, just don’t think I was in the mood for dark right now. Reading Devious Minds, which is hilarious, (the h is wacko), but I think a la UY, it’s going to get more angsty. It also reminds me of the Off Campus series. MC’s who can’t stand each other and then the slow build…

Michelle August 16, 2015 at 8:04 PM

Anne, is Tyrant worth it? I’m at the halfway mark and want to stop because I’m reading to read at this point. Is there some big twist, reveal, something? Maybe I’m slumping here or need sleep…

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:34 PM

Sure, but which Tate?

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:34 PM

Oh, and Extreme. Why not?

fabi August 16, 2015 at 8:35 PM

Anne, thank you for the info on the no cliffhanger. I really appreciate it!

Bev, what in the world are you talking about? It sounds like fun!

Michelle, oh oh and double oh oh. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of you not finishing a book. :-0

I am so freakin’ intrigued by King. Dark, gritty, sexy — all trigger words for my books.

(and I say that as I’m reading a YA book – lol)

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:36 PM

Fabi, what book is Tate from?

fabi August 16, 2015 at 8:38 PM

The Tate I love is from Try. But there’s another Tate from that author that is so loved here…name has complete slipped my mind…but she writes the older characters.

bev August 16, 2015 at 8:40 PM

Sweet Dreams, Tessa. May not have read it. Hmmm.
Let’s see. Mason is too easy.
How about trade Tate for Daryl from Walking Dead?

fabi August 16, 2015 at 8:40 PM

That’s right! Sweet Dreams.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:41 PM

Well, until I know who Tate is, I can’t answer. What if it’s a Tate that’s awesome? Or what if I don’t like Tate? See. Could be a marry or kill change here!

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:43 PM

Daryl from walking dead. Okay!

Marry Travis, @*** Rhage, kill Daryl. Travis is all swoon happy. Rhage in bed would probably be awesome. Then, the piece de resistance, I get to kill the unkillable. :)

bev August 16, 2015 at 8:44 PM

Fabi~ hilarious.

So it be like
I’d marry Barons
Kill V
*cough* Tack
Marry ( oh this is hard) Rhage
*Cough* Daryl
Kill Travis ( I do like Travis but one must be sacrificed.)

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:45 PM

Wait. Who’s Tack?

bev August 16, 2015 at 8:46 PM

Oh great reasoning Tessa!
But I could not hurt Daryl.

bev August 16, 2015 at 8:47 PM

Ok note to self. No KA characters if playing with Tessa & Fabi, lol.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:47 PM

*grins* I could. Rhage would be too fun in bed not to. And Travis would do so well as a husband.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 8:50 PM

Was he in Motorcycle Man? I read that one.

For you, then. Sebastian, Tristan or Kellan?

Michelle August 16, 2015 at 8:55 PM

I know Fabi and it’s not the book, at least I don’t think, just me! I’m going to bed early and maybe it will click into place tomorrow.

bev August 16, 2015 at 8:55 PM

Thoughtless, Kellan? Haven’t read it. And Tristan? Is he from the K. Harrison series.
Lol. Trickier than thought. But fun.

bev August 16, 2015 at 9:04 PM

If those are them & making snap judgements, I would
Marry Sebastian
Kill Kellan
**** Tristan

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 9:04 PM

Alright, scratch two! :) Sebastian, Christian, or Ridge.

Anne August 16, 2015 at 9:05 PM

Michelle I say Tyrant is worth it. There is a big reveal near the end that kinda shocked me.

Guys Cocky Bastard is so funny!! Loving it so far. Here’s an example: “I see through you. The harder you try to be good, the more you’re starving to be bad. Not only are you going to eat some of my greasy food, but you’re going to eat it with my cock sauce all over it and love it.”

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 9:06 PM

Oooh, you answered anyway! :) I meant Tristan and Dannika, which says there are too many Tristan hero names. Though, I’d choose to **** either of them. Marry Kellan, and Kill Sebastian.

bev August 16, 2015 at 10:13 PM

It took me FOREVER to place Ridge, lol.
Marry Sebastian
Never finished this book but dude stole her car, right? Kill Christian, don’t touch my things man.
And that leaves Ridge if he is not in the situation of the book.;-)

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 10:32 PM

Hahaha I think we should definitely start putting books to these characters. Christian Grey. Did he steal her car? It’s been so long. I only read it once. lol

See, that one I’d marry Sebastian, f* Ridge and yep, kill Christian. He doesn’t know that no means red. He has ISSUES!

Alright, your turn!

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 10:33 PM

Fabi must have gone to sleep. Hope everyone knows anyone can answer. It’s fun!

bev August 16, 2015 at 10:42 PM

Mason, FCH
Curran,Kate Daniels
Bran, Mercy Thompson

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 10:44 PM

Easy. *grins* Marry Mason. F*** Curran. I’d be sad, but kill Bran. He’s the sacrafice.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:11 PM

Zarek from Dance with the Devil
Wesley from Princess Bride
Mitch from Law Man (I read that, not Motorcycle Man.)

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:12 PM

I was watching a movie with my daughter. And no, I didn’t realize anyone could answer. Plus, I don’t think I know or remember some of those characters. Maybe they were named with their book. Idk, I have a bad memory

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:12 PM

She took out Bran.

*shakes head*

We turned it into a massacre up in here.

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:13 PM

LikebTessa did above. :-) butvIbdont know any of those characters

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:14 PM

Oh wait, I know Zarek and Wesley. Duh. See? I’m horrible with names.

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:17 PM

Oh, Fabi any and every time jump on in. Good movie?
As you wish Wesley? Marry!!!
F*** Zarek
Love you Mitch but you got to go.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:18 PM

Hehehe. Pick any bunch. It’s fun. :) Well, except I had to kill Bran. I just see him as too much of a father figure to do the other things. It’d be wrong.

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:19 PM

Fabi, Acheron
Oliver, from Arrow
Tate, from Try

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:19 PM

Same for me too. Exact same. And Fabi, we have to add which books. The Tristan thing did it. Too many Tristans.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:19 PM

Oooo Bev. Those are good ones.

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:20 PM

*tilts head, stares at Tessa*
*pondering*, kill him because anything else would be wrong with a father figure.

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:26 PM

Yep. *grins* Well, the other two would be wrong.

On Fabi’s. Never read Try, so he’s dead. Also, he likes men, and I’m not a guy. So, sorry that he has to go!
F*** Acheron. He’s one messed up dude and I’d really just want to be his friend and give him a hug. But marriage? ISSUES!
So, marry Oliver. At least he’d be fun, right?

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:28 PM

Omg Bev, you know me well. Lol

I’m going to take Tessa’s out

Marry Oliver (he’s a billionaire)
F*** Tate (one night is all I need)
Kill Acheron (because he can’t die)

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:30 PM

But see? I can’t play back because I don’t remember character’s names until someone mentions them. :-( now I’m sad

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:32 PM

Oh and Tessa, he *was* straight. Lol he got corrupted by a really bad boy

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:37 PM

I’m thinking…hmmm
How about
Sebastian from Surviving Raine
(I was going to name Ridge but you guys already used him – pun intended)
Have from City of Bones
Quinn from Lover at Last

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:38 PM

Jace from City of Bones (don’t know why autocorrect changed that one)

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:38 PM

I bet Bev hasn’t read any of those. Tessa?

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:50 PM

Yep. I’ve read them all.

Alright. Marry Jace. Total love for Jace.
F*** Quinn.
Kill Sebastian. Why Sebastian? Because considering his lifestyle, he has fifty STDs. Drinking that much and steam doesn’t guarantee that the protection was there, or was properly *thinks* Used as the directions state.

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:52 PM

Lol OK I’ll go for that. And I’m going to go read a few minutes and sleep. 6am comes around quick. ‘Night y’all.

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:52 PM

Oh, Haven’t I Fabi?

*puts pinky to mouth* *raises eyebrow*
Sorry Jace, your a good kid, but a kid.
Now this is hard. Qhuinn and S have that when they fall the fall all the way and hard in love.
I think I’m still going to marry S.
But NO bathrooms Qhuinn!

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:54 PM

Oooohhhh Bev. Shame on me. Lol I like your choices too. :-)

Tessa August 16, 2015 at 11:54 PM

Oh brother. I’ve married myself to two kids so far, huh? Mason and Jace. That’s disturbing. *begins chanting* Only in books!

fabi August 16, 2015 at 11:57 PM

Hahaha Tessa. Don’t worry. They all grow up.

bev August 16, 2015 at 11:58 PM

Lol. G’night Fabi. Be heading that way soon too as have same wake up time.

Tessa, when you think of some of them outside of the book all come to life, some disturbing things can develop, lol. Even with the ones we love.

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 12:05 AM

Goodnight and sleep well Fabi!

Yep Bev. Also remember, I like the darker type. That doesn’t help. I almost never want a “hero” type. ooooh!

Stephan from Vampire Diaries
Edward from Twilight
Nicholas from Night in Shining Armor

bev August 17, 2015 at 12:21 AM

So long ago so sort of going in blind, but take Nicholas *away* with me & marry.
I only know tv Stephan, prefer Damon, but still ****
Sorry(not sorry) Edward.
Ok, one more for you and darker…..

bev August 17, 2015 at 12:24 AM

Klaus from VD tv show. (So handsome)
Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne
Q , Tears for Tess(?)……haven’t read it but know it’s suppose to be dark.

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 1:01 AM

Hahahaha That’s exceptionally dark!

Okay! Bruce for marrying. He was definitely dark, but sexy
Q to f*** (everyone is like, but he… lol )
Die Klaus! Die! I haven’t liked you since Vampire Diaries Four. DIE!

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 1:04 AM

Oooh! Love the Edward comment. Totally agree with Daimon. Though, LJ Smith’s Julian from the Forbidden Games was the biggest sexy. *sighs*

*hugs Bev* But sleep awaits. Reading and sleeping for me.

Anne August 17, 2015 at 11:11 AM

I finished Cocky Bastard and really liked it! Up until 35% it was funny and light but then the angst! I love Chance so much! Its a standalone so no CH yaay! 4/5

Who’s excited for Before We Were Strangers?? *raises hand* Maybe we can BR?

Amy August 17, 2015 at 12:57 PM

Hello lovely ladies!! :D

I have a whole weekend of comments to catch up on. :? Here goes…

Grey August 17, 2015 at 12:59 PM

OMG, so much to catch up on!!!

Oooh, the MFK game. I didn’t play before so I’m going from the beginning…

M- V (he’s my fave BDB)
F- Barrons… (because… he’s BARRONS!!!)
K- Tack (because I have no idea who he is LOL!)

M- Travis
F- Rhage
K- Tate (again, i have no knowledge of this character, so he’s still expendable hah!)

M Kellan
F Tristan
K Sebastian (don’t get me wrong,, I love him, but… you guys put him up against Tristan and Kellan!!!

Mason, Curran and Ridge…Zarek, Mitch, Wesley dont know any of them yet…

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 2:55 PM

You’ve never seen Princess Bride? 0.0 Go get the movie or book and read it. It’s a classic. Mason, well read Fallen Crest. :P He’s the reason for all the squeeing from me. *grins*

MichelleS August 17, 2015 at 5:55 PM

Missed SOOOOO much fun! I absolutely must include my MFK list, though. First I want to say that WHY would you kill Bran? I wuv him.

M – Jamie Frasier any damn day of the week, in any century
F – Rhage – unleash the beast, or maybe I’ll chain him to the bed!
K – Barrons – because of Burned, and other things, and he’ll get over it & live

Runner ups:
M – Adam Haputman
F – Adam Black or Daegus MacKeltar (or BOTH – gasp!)
K – Tohr – cause he didn’t grieve long enough for Welsie, the bastard!

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 8:51 PM

I had to kill him! You have to choose between the three mentioned together. So, because of that, Bran had to die. It was sad. We mourned him, but sorry. He’s not welcome in my bed.

bev August 17, 2015 at 9:16 PM

MichelleS, um no. Way too easy. For you I’d pick

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 9:18 PM

*grins wide* See! Pick who you kill.

MichelleS August 17, 2015 at 9:27 PM

Oh hell no!!! I don’t know the rules, but I am NOT killing Ram! I have to rank the 3 you gave me? That’s how it works???? That sucks.

M – Ram
F – Rhage (duh)
K – Bran – gah!!! That kills me but you made me play this horrid game!!!

bev August 17, 2015 at 9:33 PM

Tessa picked the extreme version. Name of the game, MichelleS, name of the game.

MichelleS August 17, 2015 at 9:36 PM

Bev – you obviously know me well, because that was a doozy. I haven’t ever heard of this little game before. Yo are always coming up with the best stuff! For you, I think I’d pick:

Simon Wolfguard
Charles Cornick
Tate Jackson

(I’m guessing you’re not killing Simon…. just wanna see if you want to F him!!! hahahaha)

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 9:52 PM

See Michelle! That’s why he had to die. The other two options just made me think eeew..

I really need to read Sweet Dreams and Familiar Stranger. *sighs* They are on my TBR.

bev August 17, 2015 at 9:58 PM

This makes me want to change it to date instead of kill. But I may surprise you.
I tend to put them irl and they’d all be great, are great with their h.
Damn it MichelleS, lol.
Tate is Tate so f.
Charles is so much the care taking alpha. I love that so (Damn it!) Marry.
Gah! Simon. When we see him in more couple role may change this.
I do not want to press submit……

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 10:26 PM

You all talk about Bran, but DUDE! Bev killed Simon! *Begins shouting from the rooftops*

bev August 17, 2015 at 10:38 PM

bev August 17, 2015 at 10:53 PM

Hold On
Begging for It
Vengeance Road all come out on Sept 1

bev August 17, 2015 at 11:27 PM

Good Night and sweet dreams everyone.

Tessa, maybe instead of killing Travis, Kellan, Edward we should of took them hostage. Only to give them back when Maryse reads certain books.;-)

Tessa August 17, 2015 at 11:49 PM

Ooooh! There you go. Travis for reading WIR and FCH. Goodnight and have many more evil schemes.

bev August 18, 2015 at 8:21 AM
Maryse August 18, 2015 at 11:59 AM

You guys are mean!!!! Taking Travis hostage and blackmailing me.

Wait… what’s so mean about being blackmailed to read books? I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! That’s JUST AWESOME!!

P.S. NO TOUCHING TRAVIS!!! He’s mine. You can tie him up though. Fine, I suppose sponge baths will be needed. ;)

Maryse August 18, 2015 at 12:15 PM

I’ve never seen the Princess Bride either.

fabi August 18, 2015 at 12:32 PM

:-0 Maryse! Naughty, naughty nurse Maryse.

MichelleS August 18, 2015 at 6:26 PM

Bev!!!! Holy Batman…. I am shocked.

SHE KILLED SIMON and F-ed Tate. Wow. That was a surprise. I thought we were going to get you to admit you secretly want to F Simon and weren’t really reading it for the ponies… LOL.

Michelle August 18, 2015 at 7:11 PM

…weren’t really reading it for the ponies! Bahaha!

fabi August 18, 2015 at 7:52 PM

hehehe I had the same reaction Michelle, but I refrained from publishing it until I saw yours.

bev August 18, 2015 at 8:14 PM

You ladies are hilarious!!

Hmm, yeah we only kidnapped Travis.
*Hides my MFK list.*

Tessa August 18, 2015 at 8:17 PM

Sure… tie up. We’ll go with that one. Did it work? Are you gonna read FCH then? And go see Princess Bride.
