MichelleS: Howdy y’all. I’m popping in to say HI.
I just finished the last book in the Fever Series, A Kingdom of Shadow and Light. It’s finally done. I love it when a series is over, but it also makes me sad. I miss the characters and the world. It wrapped up super quick in the last quarter of the book, Like WHAM…. all wrapped up. Wasn’t expecting that. Anyone else stay with the series to the end?
Jan: I gave up on the series a while ago, even though I did like the first few I read. Maybe I should go back and try the last few. I know what you mean about finishing a series. Totally mixed feelings.
Tessa: I still have to read Shadow and Light. The last book really made me happy, honestly. Wrapping up the character’s storyline like that just… so happy. 😀 But now I’m scared to read this one knowing it’s the last. lol
Mony: wow, quite the accomplishment! I also find it hard to say goodbye to characters in a series 🙁

All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata <— RECENT RELEASE AND KELLY & MONY LOVED IT!
Kelly: I just finished reading All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata and it was amazing!!! She is so the queen of the slow burn and it was everything you would want and more. The story was really good and OMG Rhodes!
Mony: I loved this book! My favourite trope is enemies to lovers and Zapata delivers with Rhodes as the grumpy hot DILF. 🙂
And, as usual with Ms Z, it’s the kind of book where I had to be patient to read about all the changes and growth in Aurora, Rhodes and his son Amos (with great secondary characters). She did a great job, and I enjoyed and savoured all the bits as the story unfolded.
I felt the same as Harper about the last quarter or so..that part was too long and was disappointing in bringing it all together. But then I thought, so what…the book was really good!
Overall, I’d say this is an epic and beautiful love story about the evolution of two complex and interesting people. 4-4.5 stars for me.Much better than Hands Down!

Kate Canterbary’s new book The Belle and The Beard is coming out on April 23rd. A follow up to Boss In The Bedsheets, which I enjoyed. It’s about Ash’s brother, and the blurb says there is a meet-burglary. LOL. I’m looking forward to it and have pre-ordered 😀

TTYTT, I struggled with the Talbot Cove books. I would like to read The Worst Guy, though 😀 I really liked Before Girl.

Happy Weekend!! We are actually going to hit 80 this weekend so excited as I need some sun on my pasty legs! I just finished Much Ado About You by Samantha Young and I really enjoyed it. It makes me want to visit the English Coast!
