Tonight’s Christmas gift giveaway is for, essentially my favorite series of the year!! And one of my top favorite series over-all. Karina Halle’s Experiment in Terror 
series. I can’t help going on and on about it, how much I love it, how addictive it is, and best of all, the extremely intense romantic tension between the two main characters… and then the intense…. *ahem*. I won’t say anymore. Let’s just say, this series put soooo many of us in an absolute frenzy and we just can’t get enough of Dex. *swoooooooon*
From a crush to angsty pining, to serious flirtation, to… NO. WAY! ARGH!!!! And then…. oh right. 😉 I said I wouldn’t say anymore, and here I am… saying more. *smirk*
What about the “fear-factor” in this series? Oh yes, it’s there, of course, (very exciting!!) but don’t let that “paranormal/horror” genre fool you. I caught Karina Halle herself admitting the obvious:
“…it’s no secret that these books have always been about Dex and Perry and their relationship first. The scares are second.”
Yep! The most exciting adrenaline rushes come from Dex and Perry’s push and pull. And I couldn’t be happier about that! This series will suck you in, tease you like crazy, and wring you dry, but you’ll come out the other end of it in a deliriously Dex-addicted haze and you’ll join our “anxiously awaiting the next one” club. And what a fun club it is!
So here is almost the ENTIRE set in print, (minus a couple of in-between short e-novellas, and the latest full length e-book (Into the Hollow) that was just released a few weeks ago). But no worries. If you have never read this series, I would be happy to “gift” you the remaining ebooks missing from this lot.
PLUS, another one of Karina’s latest novels “The Devil’s Metal” (it’s a rock star book!!) is included in tonight’s gift, and even though it is a standalone (apart from The Experiment in Terror) it… does… sort of… tie in. My favorite series for paranormal would have to be J.R. Ward but since joining your blog I have come to the ‘dark’ side of contemporary and would have to say I really loved the ‘thoughtless’ series. and Tina Reber’s series oh and Olivia Cunning series *temble* I could go on and on and on….
Loved this series, but I am not sure I would have kept reading after the first book except for your insistence that the series picked up after the first couple of books. Ended up loving it!

There is no way I could pick a favorite series, so I will go with the ones I have read the most. Hunger Games (read 5 times) Harry Potter (read about 7 times at least) Twilight (I have lost count of how many times I’ve read it) Sookie Stackhouse series (another one I’ve lost count on) and The Blue Bloods series (read about 5 times). Now I’d like to add this series to my list 😉

I love so many others: Fifty Shades of Grey (love,love,love), Dark Hunter series, Chicagoland vampires, The Blackstone Affair. Yikes!! My list could go on & on!! I adore Karina’s writing and this series is one of my absolute favorites. I remember asking you Maryse what I could read when I was in a book funk and you pointed me in the EIT direction and I devoured books 1-5 including novella in days. I mean we are talking about Dex here *swoon* Karina is a pleasure to read whether it be this or the Devil’s Metal, and everyone should experience her writing. I know people are sometimes put off by the genre, but don’t be, just go for it.

EIT is my new benchmark for how slow tension and banter (OMG the banter!!!!!). Every single series since this one has to pass the EIT test: do I enjoy “over-hearing” the characters as much as I do Perry and Dex?

Karina Halle is truly my favorite author! Until Dex and Perry and the EIT series, I was all about Barrons and Mac! Now I tell anyone who will listen that they absolutely must read anything and everything Halle writes, because she is THE BEST!

First I want to point out that tomorrow is Thursday, December 20, not December 19. HAHA… My favorite series…. Man that is a hard one! I have read so many good books this year. I just got back into reading (after years of hiatus), and I have read over 90 books since May….. So my poke at my favorite series would have to be The Breathing Series. It has been a while since I read the first two, but that series definitely is always in the back of my mind!

I’ve only read the first in this EIT series but working on the rest. I love the Thoughtless books and really, really love Kristen Ashley’s “mountain man” series that are stand alone’s as well.

I need this series! I stumbled across Dark Hose by accident on Amazon’s free book list. I devoured the rest in rapid succession. My other favorite series of all time is the Fever series by KMM.

Anyway, so far my favorite series is the Aisling Grey series by Katie MacAlister! She is one of those authors where I purchased the ebook so I have it as soon as it’s released… And then I end up buying it in print! Her writing came along at the right time. I was going through a roughshod (best friend had just passed away. Only 20 yrs old 🙁 ) and I started reading her books to keep myself distracted. Not only did it prove to be just that, but it was a humorous distraction too! She gave me piece of mind and I’ve been in love with all of her books ever since!

I hadn’t even heard of the books and it sounded interesting…. I became obsessed with the book and read the whole series in 5 days!!! Every since then I have become an avid reader.. Reading them so soon after losing my FIL with cancer placed these two books in a very special place in my heart because in some way it helped me heal; I recently read them again. Oh Boy, I wanna win, I wanna win!! I am pretty new to all this paranormal romance stuff and I gotta admit I’m 100% sucked in. I quickly discovered this site and now my ‘to read’ list has more than doubled and I’m insane at night reading until I can no longer keep a small spec between a single lash on one eyeball opened (Ugh!)… but thank God for small potty breaks in the middle of night because certainly that must mean time for “just one more chapter”… I’m out of control. This Christmas is going to be hard. I’m running low on money and the only one paying bills. So needless to say I will not be giving out many presents.
My sister read Darkhouse and insisted that I read it because she loved it so much. She got to the point where she was asking me to stop reading the book I was on because she wanted to talk about Darkhouse.
Needless to say I was HOOKED. I devoured all of this author’s writing.

EIT is one of my favorite series, but I also love Glenn Bullion’s some what series ( Demon Spawn, A Witch to Live, and Jack Kursed) they can be read as stand alone, or together and yay that a new one is in the making. There are more, but these two are the only ones I have felt like I needed to stalk the authors to see when new books are going to be released.

My oldest and strongest love affair is with the black jewels series but I also love Karen moning’s fever series, and the black dagger brotherhood, ooh and also new species… well there are alot of them 🙂
Oh sweet baby jesus! me me me please! I love the Outlander series, Enders Game Series, BDB, IAD ahh so much to name in so much different genres. I haven’t started on these yet but I do have it in my Kindle, but I love having hard copies!

Favorite book series would be a toss up between anything Yasmine Galenorn writes and Kelly Armstrong and J.R. Ward…they are such good writers.. they make you feel like you are right there along with them for the ride..I havent read any of these books but definitely want too..whenever I go into a book store or a thrift store hunting for books.. the staff are always shaking their head at me cause I come to the cash with a dozen or so books in my hand..whenever hubby describes my reading.. he says I go thru books like a chainsaw thru wood..lol so pleaseeeeee pick me .. running out of books to read.lol

I loved the Experiment in Terror series. I also, like the Arelia LaRue series by. Kira Saito. Bound which I do believe is the first was actually free. There are three so far, Bound, Punished, and Possessed. It is listed as a YA Paranormal Romance, well worth the read.
Well EIT is my favorite series! I couldn’t put them down. I have no life, so I finished them in 3 days 🙂

OOhh, OOhhh, how exciting! I haven’t actually read this series, so yay! It’s hard to say what my favorite series is,,, there have been so many wonderful ones. But, I love the Vampire Academy series and Richelle Mead’s Succubus series too, love the Morganville Vamps,, just too many to count.

This series is awesome!!! And when I read On Demon Wings, I have never been so scared. I don’t think I even slept that night. But I loved every minute of it. And Dex…yeaaa, love him! 😉 I would say this is one of my top favorite series along with Black Dagger Brotherhood.

I can’t just pick one favorite series. But my top 4 would be the Fever series by KMM, the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong and (and I don’t say this to suck up) EIT by one Karina Halle. Every one of these series features kick ass heroines and not quite normal male characters. They also all have real stories, mostly intense and a bit dark. Can’t get enough of them 🙂
Hard for me pick a favorite since i have several all time favorites Kim Harrison’s The Hollows Series,or J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood, or Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter, just to mention a few.
