<— Room: A Novel by Emma Donoghue AWESOME BOOK SUPER-SALE! I paid full price for this one, and I LOVED it. It’s a psych-thriller (she’s been kidnapped and held hostage for YEARS, and even had a baby in her prison…), and it has a lot of heart! I gave it 5 stars! (my review)

TGIF!!! Here’s your weekly dose of Friday goodies… from surprise new releases, to the most recent reader favorites. What I love about this list is it’s kind of a feedback list of the some of the latest “new releases”. Those that our book-crew have jumped into, and have come back to specifically recommend. Kind of makes ’em tried-and-true, which I love!

DG: Started on Dark Room (Society X) this morning…..HOLY COW!!!! Dark room…duh, no names, no exchanging phone numbers, AND no speaking! *fanning self* Definitely gonna be a HOT weekend and I’m not talking temperatures ladies!!!!

Anne: DG I loved The Dark Room! It was hot but still so sweet.

DG: Holy Hotness!!!! Finished Dark Room ….at the ball field. Could NOT put it down….. HOT and sweetness all rolled up into a Parker!! *swoon*

Maryse: Wow… DG… it must have been SO good for you to finish it there!!! LOL! *looks up Dark Room…*

  • Oblivion (A Lux Novel) by Jennifer L. Armentrout <— SO MANY LOVE THIS SERIES ALERT!! Look what Amy just found us at a super-bargain price!! “Daemon lovers…Oblivion…*happy Lux dance*“
fabi: a companion to her Lux series. It’s called Oblivion and will be Daemon’s POV with some new scenes. I love that series. Can’t wait for more D.
  • Stanton Adore: (Stanton #1) by T L Swan <— FORBIDDEN TABOO LOVE ALERT!!! YAY!!! P.S. It’s a trilogy but ALL three books are out! Danielle found us this one saying:

Danielle: I’m not sure why Stanton Adore by T.L. Swan isn’t really on anyone’s radar. It’s taboo and super angsty! It is a trilogy though, so be prepared for cliffhangers.

Maryse: Danielle… cliffhangers are AWESOME!! When all of the books are out, that is. 😉 Tee hee! And in this case, they appear to be. YAY!!!

Katie just sent over a reader question, and this book was near and dear to my heart! I’m THRILLED that I could answer this one myself, but I thought I’d post it anyway, because

1.) This book shouldn’t be missed (so here’s your reminder), and

2.) In case someone else was wanting to read it but couldn’t remember the title.

I’m looking for a book you posted a couple weeks ago and I can’t remember the name. She’s a nurse and falls for a dctr who also has a sick child she is caring for. Can you help me??

Maryse: I sure can!! This was a GREAT read and even though it’s part of a series, it can totally be read as a standalone. Abruption by Riley Mackenzie and here is my review!”

POLYAMORY book question by Cindy (this one sounds like a BDSM menage of sorts), and she’s VERY excited about finally finding THIS one! I’ve asked our Facebook crew, and while there has been interest, there have been more questions than answers. LOL!! So maybe posting it here will get us results! 😀

She asks:

“I’m trying to recall the author and title of this book.

The alpha male is in love with I think a friend’s younger sister. His background is (light) BDSM and a polyamorous relationship he’d been rejected from and he didn’t want to inflict himself on the woman but still can’t help himself.

She in turn gets involved with a guy her own age and the three of them are drawn together.

I think it had a Midwest feel to it but I can’t recall for sure. Just want to know the author cos it’s been years since I read it!”

Melissa: I want to read that.

Vickie: Was he a tattoo artist whom owned his parlor?

Kelly: If I was a techie I would create a computer program that allows you to punch in various aspects of a plot or character names and it would spit out different books that match that.

Hollie just sent over a reader question and there’s plenty of detail so I’m sure someone can guess this quickly. That said, I can’t tell if all the detail she gave us is from the beginning of the book, or the whole thing, so I will try and *spoiler alert* it in case someone hasn’t read it yet, but wants to. 🙂

“I’ve been  Reading your blog for years and love it. I have a question for you I am looking for a specific book but I can’t get out of my head.

I read it sometime in this past year and the  description is that the book is set in Florida and it is a second chance romance with the heroin getting pregnant in high school…

<— Well… I couldn’t help myself. I jumped in. I loved this author’s other “temptation” series (my review), and this one (similar theme, but different circumstances) is already hurty. YAY ME!!! Perfect husband, or at least… at one time he was, until he can barely stand to be near her. Stays out late. Has lost that loving feeling. And then a new neighbor moves in… Eeeeep!
