In celebration of Chelsea M. Cameron’s latest new adult contemporary book release (Deeper We Fall) the author is giving away TEN (that’s right!! TEN!!!!) signed copies of this book right here on my blog!! And it’s open to everyone. International, too!!!

Check out the synopsis below (and the character interview right underneath it).

Two years after her best friend was involved in a car accident that caused a traumatic brain injury, Lottie Anders is ready to start her freshman year of college. Ready to move on. Ready to start forgetting the night that ripped her life apart.

Her plans come to a screeching halt when not one, but both brothers responsible for the accident end up back in her life again.

Zack is cruel, selfish and constantly rubbing what happened to her friend in Lottie’s face.

Zan is different. He listens to her awkward ramblings. He loves “To Kill a Mockingbird” as much as she does, and his dark eyes are irresistible. His words are few and far between, but when he does speak, she can’t help but listen.

The trouble is, Zan was the driver in the accident, and now Lottie’s discovered he lied to her about what happened that night. Now she must decide if trusting him again will lead to real forgiveness, or deeper heartache.

And here’s something extra fun… She held an interview with her two main characters just for us! 😉

Welcome everyone to our little chat. Today we have with us Lottie Anders and Zan Parker!

Lottie: Yeah, um, thanks for having us. I’m not really good at public speaking. Well, I guess this isn’t really public speaking, but I have this habit of rambling when… *trails off*

Zan: *smiles at Lottie* You get used to her. Thank you for inviting us.

Me: Okay, how about we start with a few easy questions. Nothing major, I swear.

Lottie: Yeah, okay.

Zan: *nods*

Me: So, how did you two first meet?

Lottie: Um, we met in high school and he popped up again here. *shifts uncomfortably in her chair*

Zan: She was a year ahead of me in high school, but we ended up at the same college. *also looks uncomfortable*

Me: Is there a story behind that?

Lottie: Not really.

Zan: Nope. Just… happened that way.

Me: I’m getting a sense that there’s some sort of tension between you two. You want to elaborate?

Lottie: No, thanks.

Zan: *shakes head*

Me: *sifts through cards, looking for different questions* Ah, how about if you were deserted on an island, what three things would you bring with you?

Lottie: I hate that question. I really don’t know what I’d take, but I know what I wouldn’t take.

Me: Okay, what wouldn’t you take?

Lottie: My stupid brother, for one.

Zan: You wouldn’t take Will?

Lottie: Hell, no. He’d just end up annoying me to death and eating all the coconuts.

Zan: How do you know there would be coconuts?

Lottie: There are always coconuts on deserted islands in movies.

Zan: Not always.

Lottie: *rolls eyes* Fine, what would you bring?

Zan: *thinks* Well, this for starters. *pulls out silver Zippo lighter* *flicks it on* And… a book definitely. And… a lifetime supply of Pop Tarts.

Lottie: Pop Tarts? What happens when your supply gets rained on and they go bad? Not to mention you wouldn’t have a toaster.

Zan: That’s what the lighter is for. To start a fire.

Lottie: But what if the lighter doesn’t work? Then you’d be stuck on a deserted island with a book and and a bunch of un-toasted Pop Tarts.

Zan: I’d survive. I’ve been through worse.

Lottie: Well, it’s never going to happen, so it doesn’t matter anyway.

Zan: Never say never… *gazes at Lottie*

Lottie: *tries not to stare back*

Me: Moving on, how about your very first memory? I always love it when people answer this question.

Lottie: *thinks* I’m not really sure, but I do remember Will getting his head stuck in between the bars of our crib and me trying to get him out. Mom tried to get us in separate ones, but one of us would find a way to get into the other’s, so they just put us in together.

Zan: Was that part of the twindar?

Lottie: No, twindar is more like a feeling I get when Will’s in pain or really upset about something. I know that sounds crazy, but I can’t explain it. *shrugs* It is what it is. If I could turn it off, I would.

Zan: It’s pretty cool.

Lottie: If by cool, you mean annoying. *looks down* So, what about you? What’s your first memory?

Zan: Sitting on my grandfather’s knee while he sang along with the record player and he smoked his pipe. I used to try and grab it out of his mouth and put it in mine.

Lottie: Um, ew.

Zan: *chuckles* Yeah, it was pretty gross.

Me: How about one last question?

Lottie: *interrupts* Oh! I’d bring Simon with me. He’s my brother’s roommate. Sorry. I was thinking about the deserted island question. I’d bring Simon because he’d figure out how to rig a boat or signal or something to get us off the island. He’s like, really smart and he’s always fixing things. This one time he… *trails off, realizing everyone is staring at her* Sorry. Did it again, didn’t I?

Zan: Has anyone ever told you that you talk too much?

Lottie: *glares* No.

Me: *clears throat to break up the tension* Well, how about we end it there? Thank you, Lottie and Zan for agreeing to be my guests today.

Lottie: *faces Zan* Bringing Simon is a lot better of an idea than bringing your stupid Pop Tarts.

Zan: Um, thanks for having us. I think that’s my cue to exit.

Lottie: Whatever.
