Lead: A Stage Dive Novel
Great installment to one of my absolute FAVE rock star series. Stage Dive rocks! This was the one I couldn’t wait for, because I was gonna get the true, rude (read: hateful) “bad-boy” of the bunch. Beautiful on the outside… but seemingly *ugly* on the in. You know me. I love my book boys damaged, and scarred (whether physically or emotionally). Done right, there’s just so much potential for personal, emotional depth, growth, healing and my own attachment to the story. To him. I forget they’re not real, and I couldn’t wait for Jimmy. He absolutely appalled me one of the past releases, and I was hoping for more!

Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles Book 1)
Seeeee? I’m being good! I’m actually reading from my “to be read” list. Mostly. 😉 Of course, I’ve had a few moments of *squirreling*, reading something shiny and new here and there, but so far, mostly sticking to my TBR list has been awesome. Such as this fun one!
It absolutely definitely reminded me of some of my favorite paranormals that I went nuts for, back in the “day”. You guys had that right! For me, I was getting a mixed feel of “The Fever Series” and “Dark Light” (both of which I LOVED like crazy). And like the first one in both of those series (Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning and Dark Light by S.L. Jennings), this 1st installment too, wasn’t *yet* the “be-all-end-all” book for me. It was, however, a GREAT intro, and I will absolutely be continuing the series!

Cynthia: This week I read a sweet and amazing book: “PuddleJumping” by Amber L. Johnson. It’s a short and beautiful love story about a very special boy and an amazing girl that loves him unconditionally. The author writes from the heart and it’s a world she is well versed in.

This one came HIGHLY recommended to me by our fellow readers, and I swear someone was about to bonk me over the head with their Kindle if I kept it on my TBR list any longer. I think it floated through at least three of my “official TBR lists” and believe me, I WANTED to read it.
Jean: Maryse, please read Coming Home next! I beg you! It’s different from what we’ve just read and I know you will love it!
Elizabeth: Coming Home took me by surprise. Just something about her writing and characters. I was “with” them every step of the way. It’s refreshing to read a story where the smallest touch can make you *feel* more than some steamy scenes in other books. I love authors that make you work for it, you know? Great pacing and main and supporting characters too.

<— Yes it is a “smart” romance but so much more than that. It’s smart (for so many reasons, aside from the highly intelligent, yet totally goofy heroine). The writing is delightfully witty, the characters are silly-sweet, the life they lead, quirky yet believable (well… except for *that* crazy thing that happened, but I totally loved it, and how it was described. LOL!!!), and you’ll be grinning the whole way through. Grinning, except when you’re scowling through a few of those “OH NO HE DIDN’T!!” moments, which just makes this love story that much better.
