This one time, at Book Bash… Part 2 (2014 Edition)

You guys! There’s more!! More memories keep coming to us, and since I have a bunch more awesome photos to post, I thought I’d add some funny stuff, here. 😉 Part TWO (this part), AND part 3 (which is all about Angstfest – coming next). Okay, so I’ll start up the “memories” again!

This one time, at Book Bash, after Angstfest, as many were sleeping, “someone” (let’s call them a brat!!!) pulled the fire alarm, forcing many to evacuate their floor. GAH! But in the process, I got to meet a fun group of girls in the lobby, and while most grabbed their necessities (you know… purse, ID, keys), what made me laugh is what “Sharon” considered her most important necessity. Hi all! So… guess what I did this weekend? Guess!!! YES!!! Book Bash… how did you know?! 😛 *snort* I think I’m funny. Well not really, but you know… *giggle*

So it was six months in the making and it all came to a head (for me) on Thursday June 26th, at roughly 8pm as I walked into the huge hotel lobby and saw four of my favorite authors at once. Colleen Hoover, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Kristen Ashley and Karina Halle. *gasp* I couldn’t believe it! And that’s when I realized, Book Bash had officially started. The hotel bar was already hopping with readers, bloggers, cover models and authors, and everyone was excited. The energy was electrifying, and I was both frozen in awe and just ecstatic. read more

I’ve been in full Book Bash mode over the last couple of weeks, so… my reading has taken a *slight* hit.. or just a bit of a slowdown. But it’s all in the name of our favorite books and our favorite authors, so, either way, I’m in the thick of what we love right now!

And, we are officially going LIVE tonight with ticket sales (7:30pm EST)!!! YES YES YES!!!! A TON of our favorite authors from last year are coming back again, like Jamie McGuire (<— EEEEEEP!!! Just a bit before her upcoming “Trent Maddox” release *fingers crossed* that we’ll have a sort of “Trent” teaser there), Kristen Ashley, Sylvia Day, Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, and SO many of our 5-star favorites! read more

Book Bash 2013 Chronicles – Part THREE (Saturday June 29th) + another Book Bash “swag bag” giveaway!

Okay so wow, it took me a week or two to finally get to chronicling the MAIN day!! You know why? ‘Cause I don’t want it to be over yet, and “journaling” Book Bash kept it going, you know? This will be the end until next year… *sigh*.

You wanna know what else? I can’t remember walking into Book Bash, Saturday morning. Nada. Nothing. I remember doing my hair with Tarryn Fisher earlier that morning. Yep!!! Crazy right? I got to help straighten Tarryn’s hair. It’s beautiful, by the way. All shiny and soft. But I digress. At some point we separated, and when that happened, my mind went blank. I lost my tie to her, and apparently lost my tie to reality… read more

Book Bash DAY 2: Thursday night ran into Friday at 2am when I finally realized *whoops* it was late and Friday was the BIG setup day. The last day I had to make sure everything was in place, counted out, unpacked, packed, distributed, labelled etc.

I also had the BIG volunteer meeting later that day, the author table/booth setup and banners to hang. Oh and let’s not forget that Books-A-Million AND Fedex were coming that day to setup actual “stores”, meaning there *could* be mass chaos as their shipments were shuttled in. read more
