Yep… cheating/infidelity/affair books. Heroes & Heroines alike… Whatever you call this genre, it’s time to list ’em. I haven’t made a “What to Read After… ” list in awhile ’cause I reserve those for books that drove us crazy, and that we can’t stop talking about, months and maybe even years after we first read ’em. Since Arsen is still affecting readers, and books “like it” are always being compared to it (and everyone is on a quest for more like it)… well. It’s time. Even… ever since Thoughtless. Kellan wasn’t the only awesome part of that book. It was the indecision, the gaul, the hurt, and the angst that also had us hooked.

Book Review – The Ground Rules by Roya Carmen
The Ground Rules
<— Whoooooohoooooo my book-friends!!! Looking for a book to pull you out of that “safe” book lull and excite you while making you second-guess your emotional sanity? THIS ONE!!! The blurb of all *ooooomphy* blurbs had me raving about how badly I wanted to read this one, on release day. I mean… TWO gorgeous married couples that decide upon an “arrangement”? With rules, of course. But rules were meant to be broken. *waggles eyebrows*
…physical attraction is a powerful thing, an all-consuming thing. I didn’t want it, and I certainly wasn’t looking for it, but there it was, nevertheless.
Book Review – My Time in the Affair by Stylo Fantome
My Time in the Affair
I remember when the pre-order for this one went up, its blurb sent a frisson of emotional fear through so many of my book-friends right here in the comments. Oooooh yesssss, this one sounded perfectly tumultuous, and threatened us with romance-angst at it’s most controversial. That’s right. That title says it all.
But that blurb.
… I’m willing to bet I’ve done things that maybe, just maybe, you have thought of doing.
Maybe, just maybe, you’re not as innocent as you’d like to think.
Reader Question… Solved! The book where she leaves and doesn’t tell him she’s pregnant… and then she gets amnesia!
YAY!!! This is reminiscent of the days we’d discover the bestest books ever on Fictionpress. Free reads that new authors would create and add to, week by week and hook us all! Pure reading addition! The book would come alive right before our very eyes, and many have even become HUGE best sellers today.
My own personal experience with these… “originally free reads” was Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and Avoiding Commitment by K.A. Linde just to name a few. I read ’em back back “then”.
Reader Question – The book where she leaves him and when he finds her again she is pregnant…
This one looks so good, and apparently, it’s been circulating on Facebook and Twitter. Someone REALLY wants to know this book title and I don’t think it’s been guessed yet, so I thought I’d see if we can help out! UPDATE: We still haven’t found it yet and even the authors are getting in on this! 😀
Kaitlin (on Twitter) sent me this book title inquiry! She asks:
“He is a wealthy club owner, she and friends went to this club. The had a run in or argument. Their paths kept crossing due to friends. They become f-buddies and then she left him due to another woman. He finds her again and she is very pregnant. She tells him it’s not his and the battle begins. Any clue?”
