In fact, book #2 is about a TOTAL jerk-face (that ONE from book #1 that infuriated us so hard), and… the author just announced that she’s releasing book #3!!!

How to Date a Douchebag: The Studying Hours
Who’s in the mood to read an “old-school” feeling “new adult” indie book, that will make you laugh out loud (over and over again), all, while making us work in that delightful slow burn way, for the romance story. Oh don’t get me wrong… it has plenty of steam and not in the most obvious ways, either. Plus a good dose of believable romance angst.

You know the stuff I’m talking about. That push-pull, let’s just be friends (and for valid reasons – he was a known heartbreaker, one-night-stander, and no matter how hot she thinks he is, at first she can’t stand him and his obnoxious cocky attitude). Book Review – The Martian by Andy Weir

The Martian: A Novel
<— OMG I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! One of the best books I’ve ever read, wholeheartedly experienced, had panic attacks over, and rejoiced in. Back and forth, all of it at the same time, in no particular order. It tried to kill me, as Mars kept trying to kill him, and OMG!!!!! WHAT. A. STORY!!!!!!! What a journey!

It was a ridiculous sequence of events that led to me almost dying, and an even more ridiculous sequence that led to me surviving.

The worst part? Where I shake my head and want to scold myself? I could have “LIVED” this a long time ago. My friend Fabi has been trying to get me to read this for a year or two, now. Oh yes. She knows good books. read more
