<— HOLY MOLY PURE FANTASTICNESS ALERT!!!!!!! OMG. You guys were NOT kidding when you told me to read it ASAP so I wouldn’t come across any spoilers and I could experience that jaw-dropping twist blindly. Actually… TWO jaw-dropping twists. I have not been this elated in AGES. Pure steamy book romance at it’s finest, with but then even better. BOOK CLEVERNESS!!!

Reader Recommendations – Books that took us out of our comfort zone…

This post is inspired by an old comment I found from my book-twin Amy. And wow!!! I absolutely LOVE her idea. I LOVE books that do this to me. Make me feel so uncomfortable but enrapture me to the point of being unable to put it down long enough ’cause I’m so hooked. Uncomfortable or not, I am IN!!! They always end up being unforgettable, whether I loved them, hated them, or hated that I loved them. 😉

They may be dark reads, forbidden or risqué, situations we wouldn’t normally live or accept in our own lives, maybe something scary or simply something that takes us out of our element in a large enough way… maybe even enlightening us in the process. read more

I’ve devoured a bunch of her books and I’m always hooked, and Theresa just told me this amazing news (plus it’s super-bargain priced right now!!)

Michelle E: Omg!! I’m reading the new Aly Martinez book and here I am thinking this book is so unusual for her writing style. Sure it’s angsty.. and hooked me from page one but it seemed sweet too and then WHAM…BAM twist I should have seen, but didn’t see at the 97% mark hit me like WHOA!! I threw my kindle with only a few pages left because I DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING… I’m pacing while typing this to you. I don’t know if I can read the rest. *spoiler* has to be wrong about our *spoiler* but now it’s out there and I can’t unsee it and it’s a cliffhanger.. so yeah I don’t know if I can finish. read more

Book Review – The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

The Silent Patient
<— CREEEEEPY cover, and what a story!!! I devoured it in practically one sitting and my mind was RACING!!! Recommended a bunch by our own book-crew here, and I have no doubt why it was a #1 New York Times Bestseller.

It kept me guessing, it kept me on the edge of my seat and best yet (and one of the main reasons I read psych-thrillers) is it had a jaw-dropping, gasp-worthy twist. OH HECK YES IT DID!!! I’m SO GLAD I one-clicked it (price be damned!! It was worth it!!) 😀 read more

It was primarily written from the POV of Annika which made the book so special because seeing things from her perspective was such a gift. It was helpful to get some chapters from Jonathan’s POV as well to better understand his thought processes as well. I just can’t sing enough praises – it was such a beautifully written, original story of not just love but hope. read more
