The Edge of Never <—- This is one of the BEST BOOKS THAT I HAVE EVER READ. I’m shaking and my shaking started AFTER I finished reading. I haven’t had this happen to me in a LONG time. Ages. Maybe two or three books total in my entire reading life that not only made me cry, but made me tremble and shake AFTER my cry-fest. After the fact. AFTER I finished the book. I’m still trembling as we speak. What is this? An adrenaline rush? Coming down from the adrenaline rush? When will I stop shaking?
Love Left Behind
Fantastic! Just… WOW, in all of the good moments (*sigh*), and all (and I mean allllllll) of the bad moments. In the mood for angst? I got your angst, right here. I was mostly a mess reading this, and I loved almost every moment of it.
Lane sent me this recommendation and I say she was spot-on:
“You have given me so many wonderful recommendations that I just had to return the favor. I just finished reading Love Left Behind by S.H. Kolee and it was GREAT. I hope that you have time to read this one and pass it on to everyone else. The mighty Storm meets Love Unscripted. Really Good Read.”
Curio and the Curio Vignettes
Another awesome short story that had just enough of everything for me to feel like I got a ton out of it, and wished for more once it was done. This one’s been brought up a few times in my reading past, but I hesitated, due to it’s length.
Yanira: Curio by Cara McKenna and Damaged Goods by Lauren Gallagher. The guys in both are male prostitutes, but they are very human and there’s something very real amongst all the erotic element, which of course it’s there, but there’s so much more…
UPDATED 01-10-2020 Note: This is going to be both a combination of the “series reading order guide” (scroll further down below if that’s what you need right away) and also observations, fun notes and trivia about the series in general (as per myself, fellow readers, and the author).
Another series I’m obsessed with! I’ve been devouring these books ever since I finally FINALLY read book #1. Lots of recommendations, kept coming my way, and I decided it was time. What was I waiting for!!? I’m thrilled that it keeps branching off into more and more stories. I’m LOVING it!! We keep seeing smaller characters (and even main characters) from other books appear over and over again.
Flat-out LOVED IT!! This weekend, I went looking for another Travis or Brian devastating whirlwind of a bad boy book, but I found this instead. This is not my typical read. No paranormals, no bad boys, no rock stars but plenty of love. And the reviews had me intrigued.
Many reviews, almost all 5-stars, and the last time I “accidentally” happened upon a book that way, I found Travis, who rocked my world. So I was all for it. It’s kind of like finding the “independent movie” section and discovering a whole bunch of obscure movie treasures. I’ve uncovered a whole new world of relatively new, independent stuff, and I feel refreshed!
