The Husband’s Secret
This book left me reeling, but in a good way. Errr… can one reel… positively? Ahhhh, no matter, my brain is in stun-mode, ’cause this one’s a stunner. It’s devastating, brilliant, and clever! Both amusing and agonizing and just so realistic. It touches on a plethora of emotions and thoughts that I wholeheartedly connected to, leaving me at times touched, and at times appalled at the revelations as each piece of the puzzle was discovered and snapped into place.

Book Review – Tear You Apart by Megan Hart
I’ve been anticipating this book for awhile now (after reading that synopsis… how could I help myself?)! I couldn’t wait to embark on the drama.
Their passion will consume everything—and everyone— in its path….
I wasn’t sure what kind of drama… exactly, but I had an idea, and considering some of my favorite Megan Hart books, I knew a title like that would have a very good chance of delivering as promised.
If I could make myself believe it all happened by chance and I couldn’t help it, that I’ve been swept away, that it’s not my fault, that it’s fate…would that be easier? The truth is, I didn’t know I was looking for this until I found Will, but I must’ve been, all this time. And now it is not random, it is not fate, it is not being swept away.
Book Review – Nocturne by Andrea Randall and Charles Sheehan-Miles
Nocturne
Yep… I had a GREAT reading week, ’cause here’s another sexy one that has that forbidden love affair quality, and what a gorgeous, passionate, naturally angst-ridden story. I was pretty antsy for this book to go live, so I could post this review. 🙂
Fraught with romantic tension. The want. The need. And yet, strictly forbidden (in more ways than one). At times, it was emotionally agonizing, but not eye-rollingly so. The impeccable writing detailed every nuance of their musical world (you’d swear the authors were virtuosos, themselves), and seductively explored a love affair laden in tender moments and emotional upheaval. Equal amounts of both.
Book Review – Arsen by Mia Asher
Arsen. A broken love story
<—– You guys. YOU GUYS!!!! THIS ONE!!!!!!!!! OMG SO THIS ONE. I book-zombie LOVED IT!!!!! I could barely put it down and once things got rolling, I was glued to it and stayed up until I was finished. Cried. No SOBBED (bed shaking and everything. Sleeping husband even rolled over in his sleep to hug me). OMG I was wrecked. The emotion was building and building and then my anger turned to devastation. And in my absolute agony, I was delighted. This was the kind of soul-deep reaction that makes me never forget a book, and want to scream it from the rooftops. It. made. me. FEEL.
Book Review – Love Square by Jessica Ingro
Love Square
I read this one a few weeks ago, and was so distressed by the whole thing, that I huffed in exasperation and then set it aside until I could get “over” it. I didn’t know exactly what I could say in the review other than, if you are in the mood for the ultimate in romantic deception, indecision and maybe even “payback” (depends on how you look at it, and who you’re rooting for)… then this might be for you. And I stick by that.
It caught my eye when the author sent a review copy my way, and I was reminded of it when I added it to my bargain post a few weeks ago. By the title and synopsis, I was already anticipating what a romance-mess this would be (a la “The Opportunist” and “Avoiding Commitment”) so I added it to my list. And then… it continued to mentally tease me. Calling me. There were a few tried and true reader suggestions that I was sure I would love, but when I received a few comments from our fellow readers about this one, I decided on it, for my next read:
