I Love You Forever – This Love Story Was Almost Too Painful to Watch — So I Had to Read the Book Behind It…

I was alone for a whole day yesterday  and decided I’d spend an “unwind/do nothing physically or mentally strenuous day“, watching all the movies I knew my husband wouldn’t want to watch. 😂

So… I indulged BIG TIME! I watched 4 horror/thrillers (The Wailing (meh…), Anabelle – the first one and it was a rewatch from but I didn’t remember barely any of it so it was fresh again and scary!!, Caliber<— excellent thriller 4 stars easy!! and “The Endless“<— sci-fi thriller about a cult – also an excellent 4 stars) and three romance-ish (and I say that tentatively because they were more love stories that go wrong or just…you know. Lots of growth and discovery). read more

You Were There Too

I just loved it. Eloquent writing, poignant yet relatable, but that had me on edge wondering WHAT was happening, the whole way through!! And what was going to happen?!! Oh yes, this one is so unique and explores all sorts of human issues (love and happiness, marital strife, depression, fertility problems, second guessing choices)… BUT one thing it explores that’s not-so-human. <— OH MY that one had me!!!!

*claps claps and claps some more!!!!!!!!* 😀 😀 😀 BRAVO Mary Elizabeth. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!  It’s no wonder you’re so popular!! You are an exciting author!! This was the first book I have read by you, and you have taken me on the most exhilarating thrill-rides that I have been on in… shooooooooot…. I dunno. Months? A year? Years?

This was one of most captivating, engrossing, thrilling, unputdownable reads that I’ve read in a LONG time! I found myself rocking back and forth (<— seriously… I should have recorded it, but that would have been hard… I need a tripod). I had so much energy that needed a release so all I could do was rock back and forth as the whole thing culminated into that fantastic ending. The Husband’s Secret
This book left me reeling, but in a good way. Errr… can one reel… positively? Ahhhh, no matter, my brain is in stun-mode, ’cause this one’s a stunner. It’s devastating, brilliant, and clever! Both amusing and agonizing and just so realistic. It touches on a plethora of emotions and thoughts that I wholeheartedly connected to, leaving me at times touched, and at times appalled at the revelations as each piece of the puzzle was discovered and snapped into place. read more
