Hey my *other* e-reader friends! This is a personal note to y’all (and I’m in the same boat as you guys). 😀

Now many of you might already know about the free Kindle apps (in fact, that’s what I downloaded for my iPad and what I read all my Amazon/Kindle books on, as I don’t have a Kindle, either).

But back in the day, I used to always include links to the free Kindle reader apps on Amazon at the bottom of my bargain-book posts, but lately I’ve been forgetting. So I’m dedicating this post to those that didn’t realize this existed. read more

Breaking NEWS Update: We can now organize our books in our Kindle apps!!!

Okay THIS is some of the greatest book-news to wake up to, and now my stomach is twisted up in happy anticipation! I can now make lists… err “Collections” now in my Kindle app on my iPad. I haven’t done it yet (I’m currently in “update” mode and getting antsy) but I will be in my book-happy-place for at least an hour or so while I make lists to my heart’s content!

How I organize my books in my Kindle App…

I’ve been asked this question a bunch (especially each time I post a screen shot of my Kindle app), and you’d think by now, I’d have a better organizational method and answer to give. 😉

Jerri: I’m interested to know how you keep up with your books on your kindle? Do you have the kindle fire?

J: Does the app that you have on the IPAD allow you to categorize (like by author )? Also, it appears that you can move things around to organize your TBR list?

Paige: Kindle’s will let you make Collections that you name, Fire doesn’t have this option…I know it’s frustrating if you own one. You might try using Good Reads online. It’s helped me tremendously to keep the books I REALLY want to read in the forefront. Maryse just posted a screen shot of her TBR, so perhaps you can make a “shelf” type thing?? read more

Today’s Free Paranormal ebooks for Kindle – 11-9-10

I just read a book (In The Warrior’s Bed) that literally swept me away (I couldn’t put it down)!

Quick synopsis: The hero and heroine are on opposite clans (he’s a scottish warrior, and her father and brothers keep battling his clan for his land). They meet, sparks fly…he kidnaps her! LOL!! Oh myyyy….It was extremely romantic, exciting, and HOT HOT HOT!!  I didn’t even know people did those things back then 😉 I loved the detail and the time it took for the sexual intensity to bloom into something much more. There were serious issues of trust on both character’s behalfs (will she run away? is he just using her for retaliation?), and well, I just loved it. I won’t actually review-review it here, because it was a historical romance (*gasp* – I’m just finding out that I really like those too), with not an ounce of paranormal involved. However I could not just leave it without mentionning it. I hear this isn’t even the best one in this author’s series, so now I’m dying to read more! read more

My Newest E-Book Reader! The iPad! It’s Shiny!

My sweet sweet husband…the techie. Just dying for an excuse to buy the latest and greatest. Each time we’d stop in an electronics store, there’d always be the obligatory iPad touching, and his trying to convince me of how badly we needed one – that somehow, it MUST have something that would make our lives easier, right?

So this weekend (while yet again, on another business trip),  he asked me what I wanted for my birthday (and my answer is usually, oh I dunno…books, or anything to do with books), I shrugged and said hrmmm…how about an iPad? Now I wasn’t really expecting one, but I had heard good things (especially for ebook reading), so why not? What do I want for my birthday – sure – let’s go with that! Why not blow his mind a little since usually my requests are sorta lame and uninspired. LOL! I should have known my suggestion was actually the “okay – go get one” that he had been waiting for. read more
