Robyn: Eeek! OMG Kitty/Zoe I absolutely love, love, love the Fated Mates series! I read the whole kit and caboodle awhile ago and it is one of my most favorite to reread.

Anna: I read Guilty Pleasures by Kitty Thomas about a year ago. I remember it wasn’t quite as dark as I’d expected, but there were definitely some interesting twists and turns. It is one of those books that I still remember a lot about even a year later, and for someone like me who reads a million books and has a shifty memory that is probably saying something 🙂
Mafia Captive
I haven’t read all of Kitty Thomas’s books yet, but I’m already a HUGE fan. There’s a certain addictive quality to her writing and her dark tales that ensure I will read every single Kitty book out of her repertoire (and the sooner, the better). I just can’t get enough. Plus!! She’s one of “my firsts” (see my review for Comfort Food – I had never read anything like that before and was torn as to what I was feeling). It was my first super-dark-read with a side of questionable romantic connection and unnerving emotion, and I was… bonding with the monster!!? I was experiencing Stockholm Syndrome via a book! GAH!!! I couldn’t believe it (and yet I was titillated!)
Tender Mercies
After reading Comfort Food by the same author, I experienced a sort of dazzled bewilderment. I LOVED it, but I couldn’t come to grips with *why* I did. No wait. I knew the “why” of it, (’cause it was simply awesome)… but the subject matter was just so dark and scary.
Like Mariel from my Facebook page said:
“When I read Comfort Food I was slightly disturbed by the fact that I wasn’t disturbed by the ending… Am I the only he who felt that?”
