Just Remember to Breathe
This one ended up being almost everything I hoped for. It was another one of those introspective yet gentle reads that still managed to deeply affect me. I fluctuated between moments of happiness, hope and delighting in their sweet moments, to sadness, and wondering if it could really ever… just “be”. And yet, I felt as if I had a deep understanding of where the character’s doubts were coming from. On the outside looking in, I could tell where they were hurting themselves, and in turn, each other. And yet, I would have likely been on that very same wavelength had it been me.

Currently Reading… Just Remember To Breathe by Charles Sheehan-Miles
Just Remember to Breathe
This book has been personally recommended a few times, and after reading the synopsis, I immediately added it to my TBR list.
Kirsty: “… I spend most days on here dying to find my next favourite book. One of which, I recently found. It’s called ‘Just Remember To Breathe’ by Charles Sheehan Miles. It is about a man who goes off to war leaving his world behind, including a girl he loves deeply. He is injured at war and finds himself back at College, the same one as the love of his life.. Only as you imagine, it isn’t that simple at all.. but I won’t say anymore. But I think you’d really love it!”

Book Review – The Sea Of Tranquility by Katja Millay
The Sea of Tranquility
This one is easily going to be one of my favorites this year. And I mean TOP favorites. A subdued and somber story but with a great measure of warmth that took my breath away. I was absolutely and personally touched by the time I reached the end. Every part of me was wholeheartedly invested in these complex characters, and even the “normal” moments, and the facetious characters brought a certain depth to the story as a whole. It was… profound. The heartache tangible (and unimaginable) and yet… so real.
