reader question

This one almost sounds like a scene out of Karina Halle’s “Sins & Needles” but instead of woods, it was the Vegas strip… so my guess is probably not right.

Do you guys know which book Stacy is looking for?

“I read a short teaser for an upcoming book release (on a blog I think) and can’t remember the name of the book or author. I’m hoping you will know after I describe it. It was a short scene with a man and woman who are being chased in their car by “bad guys”. They are being shot at and end up ditching their car and running through a wooded area. The woman is able to shot one of the guys and they eventually loose the bad guys in the woods. read more

“Hello, the book I’m looking for is one I’ve read but forgot the title. I remember that there was a scene where the female was supposed to go to prom/dance with the boy but he didn’t show up. I think he was famous and he was supposed to fly in for her dance but his phone died so he couldnt call her. This is probably in many books but if you have any ideas, please let me know. Okay this one sounds like Shey Stahl’s “Happy Hour” ’cause this is an almost exact scene in that book (in mine, he’s a race car driver) but the two main characters are best friends so I can’t remember him having to remind her that she can come and see him anytime…

I read a teaser for a book I was really looking forward to, and now I have no clue of the author’s name or book title. I either read the teaser on an author blog or a review’s blog. I believe it was about a month or so ago. Anyway any help would be great…..
For what I remember it was a woman sitting at bar, she sees a man she knows (possibly old friend) who’s famous lots of people or woman around him. I keep thinking he’s a retired football player, but I might be way off here. He spots her comes over and asks why she didn’t come see him she says I thought you were busy kinda thing, he says she’s always welcome.
Sorry I know its not much to go on. I been thinking about it for weeks, thinking I know it of I see it. No luck so far. There’s a few I know its not. Play With Me, nothing by Jaci Burton. Any help would be wonderful thanks. read more

Megan, I remember when you posted this on Facebook and I remember knowing exactly what part you were referring to. I think I had JUST read that book (beginning of this year?) and it was on the tip of my tongue who these characters were. I remember that scene, and I knew it was going to be sad when that movie was mentioned. And yet… like you, I couldn’t remember the actual book. And if I remember right, I LOVED that book.
