Reader Question – The mafia series with the adopted brother and sister and forbidden love…

By 18 Comments

Ema needs our book help! I feel like I should know this one… like I’ve possibly read this (or heard about it via our book crew), or it was a popular in our crew at one time? What came to mind just for a second was E.K. Blair’s Black Lotus series, but that wasn’t mafia… though a similar feel for sure. Or even DEBT by Nina Jones has this revenge aspect.

Actually, it’s her friend’s cousin that is looking for this one, so Ema came to us. Usually I post these on Thursdays, but this one has an urgent feel to finding it. 🙂 In fact, there’s a back story to why they are desperately searching for this novel for her friend. read more

Reader Question… Solved! The book about the MC Prez’s daughter named Princess that’s out for revenge…

By 6 Comments

Lori is looking for a book!! She refers to it as down and dirty, and one of the scenes she describes is exactly that. GASP!!! I’m wondering if it’s a Bink Cummings biker book, ’cause I hear those are raunchy and raw.

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

Love your blog! I need help finding a book title.

It’s about a woman, I think her name is princess, whose father was a biker mc President that was killed and she’s out for revenge.

She and her friend seek out a mercenary biker she believes to be responsible. She finds him in a dive bar and proceeds to seduce him by any means necessary. And I do mean any! read more

Book Review – Dear Anna by Katie Blanchard

Dear Anna: A creepy domestic thriller
Ohhhhh myyyyyy gooooodddnesssss!!! New-to-me author!! I only learned of this book when she sent me a review copy and sponsored one of our newsletters and of course with that cover, you know I was intrigued (my love of psych-thrillers knows no bounds). And I must now happily declare… I AM A FAN!!!!!

I knew right when I saw that cover (and got a serious blurb jolt) that this would be my next read, and I got exactly what I was hoping for. Strictly from the “wife’s POV”, and despite the creepy-stalker/revenge vibe of the story as a whole, this could very well be actually relatable on many levels (to a certain extent, of course 😉 ). read more

Maryse: I’m reading AND LOVING “Jane Doe”!!! If you want a plotting, sharp-as-a-tack sociopathic heroine in the vein of one of Tarryn Fisher’s magnificent villains (or are they vigilantes? 🙂 )… read this!!!
