Following my heart, one book at a time...
PARANORMAL ROMANCE SERIES ALERT!! Author Rebecca Hefner is this week’s newsletter sponsor, she’s a huge fan of the BDB (like us 😀 !!! ), and she’s preparing for the release book #4 in this series (in just a month!!).
To celebrate (and get us caught up on the series) she’s sent over a five fun facts (I love it ’cause we get to see who the characters were inspired by, plus more cool tidbits), and she’s giving away an e-book of book #1 to one lucky commenter here.
POST APOCALYPTIC SERIES ALERT!! Oh I LOVE those storylines and book #3 (the finale!!) is now up for preorder!!!
MicheleS: I’m reading Year One, by Nora Roberts. Already hooked. Post Apocalyptic, mixed with Irish “Magick”… characters I already love…. so so good. Haven’t read her in years. Forgot how great a writer she is.
Michele G: I also give a shout out for how good Year One by Nora Roberts was! I’m currently reading/listening to the second one in the series, Of Blood and Bone. It’s also quite good and the romance that’s brewing in that one is going to be spectacular. The only bummer is having to wait for the next one to come out but I think it’s slated for November….
An author sent this one in (’cause she’s a reader too!!). I’m starting with this one first one ’cause she auto-guessed it herself.
LOL!!!
But still, it sounds awesome and since these reader questions help us find new books to read I figured I’d post it anyway if this is up your reading alley too. 😉
Author Stacey Lynn asks:
Hey Maryse! I have a book question for you and I know you have to know the answer to this 😀
Many years ago, around the time of when Jamie McGuire had the Providence Trilogy out, there was a YA/New Adult College Aged vampire series.
Nancy is looking for this one! It’s short and sweet and kind of sounds like SO many books in this genre, but she does give one very definite detail. I bet someone will know it.
She asks:
Not sure if this is the right forum. but have you heard about a new book with vampires, shape shifters, fairies and how they have to steal something from a dragon?
Heard about it but don’t know author or title.
Anyone have a guess?
Tarryn: I’ll hazard a guess and say Dragon Bound (Elder Races Book 1) by Thea Harrison or Mercenary Magic (Dragon Born Serafina Book 1) by Ella Summers
Alice needs our book-help! This one rings a bell (particularly the ending she notes). In fact, I can’t help but think it’s from an L.J. Smith series (I read her two biggest ones quite a few years ago)? Also reminds me of a book in the Sookie Stackhouse series (although which one,
I’m not sure of) or am I thinking of that True Blood episode?
She asks:
Hi Maryse,
I hope you can help me with this, I’ve been searching the internet for years with no luck and I came across your reader question posts!
I read a book years ago that had been left in a villa in Portugal I must’ve been 7 or 8 but I remember it still, it was quite a steamy book that I definitely shouldn’t have been reading about a vampire love triangle.
