Reader Question – The book about the Hero with a wolf on his back that could come out without him having to shift forms…

May 14, 2020 By Maryse Leave a Comment

Cynthia is looking for this one! OHHHHHHH this one rings a bell!!! I must have read this… especially because of that one explicit detail that she mentions about his “wolf”. It almost sounds like a Sherrilyn Kenyon book.

She asks:

Hey Maryse,

I read this book a long time and for the life of me, can’t remember the name. For all I know it could have been a wattpad book 😂 It would be great if you could help me find it.

The book is set in a time where humans rule. All the other supernatural beings are below them. read more

Why the Twilight Saga means so much to me…

May 6, 2020 By Maryse 22 Comments

THE TWILIGHT SAGA <—-THE SERIES THAT STARTED IT ALL FOR ME. It’s not news how much I love this series and that it was the catalyst to my extreme book reading (and of course, what inspired me to start my blog). I’ve mentioned it via posts and comments over the years. I always feel a need to post an ode to the start of it all. I ALWAYS feel this need to explain it to those that haven’t read these yet, what I felt. How deeply I felt.

I always feel a need to thank the Stephenie Meyer, the characters, the story, my mom (for introducing me to it, and reading overall) and for that matter, the entire book world for existing. I was 100% able to connect to and become one with, this series, and I have continued to connect with so many books since then. read more

And how I LOVE this cover. Absolutely perfect in every way, especially symbolically. read more

Reader Question… Solved! The forbidden love book about the teens that fell in love and their parents wiped their memories…

April 30, 2020 By Maryse 5 Comments

Jennifer has this reader question for us! Oooooh sounds like a star-crossed lovers and a little Romero & Julietish but with powers (or maybe vampires?). 😉

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

Love your blog.

I am stuck, I read a series a long time ago about a young group of kids with power (think some vampires).

There were different families that people were born from and the main character was a girl. She fell in the love with a guy but they couldn’t be together so the parents wiped their memories but they fell in love again. read more

Reader Question – The book about a girl who falls for two vampires who are brothers…

February 20, 2020 By Maryse 6 Comments

Allison is looking for this one and it sounds like angst and love triangle potential!!! Maybe we even get to pick a team? 😀 And there’s not a ton of info, but just enough (like one brother’s name) that maybe you’ll know it?

I think I might know it. In the Vampire Diaries… weren’t they both brothers? The guess couldn’t be that easy, could it?

She asks:

Hello!

I just saw your question answered post and was wondering if I can submit another one please…

What’s the name of the book about a girl who falls for two vampires who are both brothers (may be identical from memory)? Sorry, vague on the details but the brothers are both obsessed with her and are both opposites in terms of their personalities. read more
