A Little Too Hot
Archives for January 2014
Tons of new releases on this one, plus of course, some fabulous looking bargain finds. A few fighters and bikers that have me titillated (and I’ve noted them below). Standouts for my TBR list are: Ignite and it’s “just released” book #2 BURN (Ignite caught my eye a couple of weeks ago and it’s getting great reviews!), Under Locke (I’m getting enthusiastic recommendations for this one, but everyone says to forge through the confusing beginning… and that it becomes awesome <— YAY!!), and Love Show ’cause it showed up on my Facebook feed a couple of times with some big excitement behind it.
Absolutely five-stars!!! Best book of the year so far (yeah, I know, we’re still early), but this one was just soooooo good that I KNOW it’ll be in my end of year favorites list… and my forever one, too.
I connected to everything about it right off the bat, didn’t experience any issues “getting into” the book and not once did my attention wane. True… I didn’t stay up all night to finish it, but that’s ’cause my cold-medicine kicked in and knocked me out before I could. But I didn’t want to finish it that fast anyway, and what better way to start my day then to continue reading a book I’m already so into?
Considering how much I’ve thoroughly enjoyed quite a few “older woman/younger man” romance reads (and all of the insecurities and social reactions that come with that kind of love story), I think it’s about time I put up a list of them for us to choose from!
And these fellow readers think so, too:
Paola: I have a suggestion for a list. Older woman/younger man. I’ve read all of the Pearl Trilogy by Arianne Richmonde, the Midlife Love/ At Last by Whitney Gracia Williams The Education of Sebastien/Caroline by Jane Harvey Berrick, On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves. These were all fantastic books. Do you have any other suggestions in this same genre?
“Sweet Thing” (one of my favorite books from 2013) has a follow-up novella! Renee Carlino’s “Sweet Little Thing” will be live on March 4th 2013, and I couldn’t think of a better title. I can’t wait to read it!
“…things don’t always go according to the plan. Sometimes happily-ever-after is one giant leap of faith away”
So… do you wanna see the cover? And what about the blurb on the back? 😀 Yah you do!! Simply… gorgeous!
