R: The Idea of You, Maryse! Really well done and addictive! I couldn’t put it down…unless you count the times I threw it down, and by “down” I mean into my wall where there’s now a slight dent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Suzi: Just one clicked. I’ve heard so much about this one.
Carina: Get ready to think about it for the next 5 months after reading it 😀 read more

Reader Question – The book with the stepbrother that is a professional soccer player…

By 5 Comments

Oooooh Tracey has a goooood one for us! Two of the popular tropes in this one. He’s forbidden AND he’s a famous sports star!!

She asks:

I hope you and your readers can help me find another boom title please!  I read this book a couple years ago.

It’s a stepbrother romance and he is a soccer player.  At the beginning she is very shy when her mother marries her stepfather and I think she’s in high school. The stepbrother was older and I think in college and not living at home. For some reason I particularly remember the stepfather insisting on him coming home for family dinner to get to know his new family better. read more

Reader Question – The book with the passed-out pilot, that just happens to be her brother's best friend…

Linda is looking for this one! Short and sweet (and by that I mean short on detail, but just enough to give us a hint).

She asks:

Help! I decided to ask you, since you might have a clue what book I’m talking about. A few years ago I listened to an audiobook and I don’t remember the name, I just remember it was good.

The book was about a girl, who found her brother’s passed out friend behind her door, and the guy was a pilot (I think, might remember everything wrong)

Do you have any idea what book it could have been? read more

Happy new release day!!! 80+ new books on today’s list with plenty that I couldn’t help but highlight. Couple that with yesterday’s 20 earlybird releases and we’ve got over 100 new books to peruse. 😀
Which ones gave me a blurb jolt? Melt for You (she’s in love with her boss, and is desperate to get his attention, and then a Rugby player moves in next door, all too willing to help ;)), The Optimist’s Guide to Letting Go (By the author “The Coincidence of Coconut Cake” about an upbeat widow working in her food truck and struggling with her mom and daughter, and she stumbles across a secret…) The Wright Love (<— K.A. Linde’s latest… and it sounds angsty and beautiful! This one is about a grieving widow and her child… and the man that wants to take care of them), How to Walk Away (She ends up in the hospital and her whole life seems like it will never be the same again…), Vanilla & Vice (oooooh sounds SUPER-STEAMY!!! He’s trying to let go of his Dom tendencies, and then he meets the most “vanilla” girl, and “…I’m into all things dark and filthy, but innocence is my kryptonite. She’s virtuous and vanilla, and vanilla is my VICE...” *waggles eyebrows* 😉 ), The Favorite Sister (psych-thriller!! Two sisters join a reality show, but one is murdered…)
And don’t EVEN get me started on yesterday’s list. The blurb jolts are BIG there. In fact… don’t forget to check out yesterday’s ➔ Monday Earlybird Book Releases list (<— THIS LIST IS A MINI POWERHOUSE!!!! Seriously… you just might squee!) Like that one right there ➔➔➔
AND my latest ➔ 4.5 star Book Review – Disturbing His Peace: The Academy by Tessa Bailey <— Oh this is a MEGA-SUPER-BOSSY ALPHA-PANTS male if I ever saw one!! 😉
LET’S READ!!!! :D !!!!
P.P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere). read more
