Book Review – Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

A sweet, lighthearted, slightly angsty new adult romance by Tijan, and my first “official” read by her. We have so many fellow readers that are Tijan die-hards here and on Facebook, and devour every single things she releases. I knew it was time!

Grey: *beep* *beep* *beep* This is not a drill… A new Tijan book is live, F*ck it babies…. mama is NOT cooking dinner tonight, I was gonna run my day down for you, but basically it was a lot of chasing my a$$ around with both hands and a map and not getting anywhere fast. Back to Montreal Canada (thank you to my sweet sister for her welcoming home), I continued reading Evangeline’s Brides of the Kindred series. I thought this book was kind of slow to start… but it is only because I am not at all like Lissa. She is a very very shy person who’s been raised with very strict principles… principles that are kept strict on her planet by injecting a chemical to the population to make sure they get sick if they don’t follow them. read more

I one-clicked this one, price be damned, due to the HUGE love for it by many of my fellow readers, some of my favorite authors, and still… the buzz is getting louder.

Book Review – The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

The Hating Game: A Novel
One of my all time favorite genres (that I keep forgetting that I love THIS much, until I read one!). LOL! A perfect mix between “they absolutely hate each other” and potential “office romance” and this one had me grinning from ear to ear by the time I hit the end.

It was just a fun, well-written comedy romance that had me laughing heartily, while still feeling all the good stuff that goes with a somewhat slow burn romance book. Nothing too angsty, although maybe the near-end shebang was a bit over the top (and risky!) but still, I REALLY loved these characters! And to make it even more fun for me? It’s told COMPLETELY from her POV and I LOVE THAT!!!!! I could totally immerse myself. Become her and worry and stress and balk with her. And swoon and wonder and hope, with her. read more
