Book Review – Wrong by Jana Aston

Wrong
This debut came highly recommended by so many that jumped in after reading its hilarious blurb (she’s a barista that has a crush on one of her regulars, and then she realizes he’s her new doctor)! And not just a “doctor”.

Oh my God. My fantasy crush is a gynecologist. My gynecologist.

eek *gasp*!! eek Sounds like our kind of fun, and after a few of the latest thrillers I’ve read, I was ready to lose myself in a lighthearted comedy romance. This one seemed to have just the comedic relief I was looking for. read more

Happy Reader Favorite’s Saturday day!! 😀 Our friend Betty is up next!! She’s been here (at least publicly) since February of 2014 and is right there with us on so many of our favorites, and some of our not-so-favorites, too.

She REALLY went crazy for Tarryn Fisher’s “Love Me With Lies Series” series, and loves a variety of genres, including books like #1 in Lee Child’s “Jack Reacher” series (Killing Floor (Jack Reacher, Book 1) and lots of hugely popular paranormals, too! (P.S. Betty… I’ll always be team Jean Claude. 😉 ). Tee hee!! read more

Me and my sister! She loves to read, too!! 😀

My sister is an AVID reader too!! In fact, SHE is the one that introduced me to the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (but she read them in FRENCH!! She’s from Quebec, Canada), and I knew… we were kindred reading spirits, as WELL as sisters! And since she’s spending her October vacation with me at my place, she’s feeling in the Halloween spirit and had a few of her own “reader favorites” she wanted to recommend. 😀

But she’s narrowed it down to a particular author! THE wonderful, creeptastic, Stephen King!! P.S. She’s 100% bilingual but some of them, she was describing to me in french, so I translated (and typed) as she spoke. 😀 read more

<— Absolutely haunting!!! Fun little creep-fest thriller (psych-thriller, even, which makes it that much better) that totally put me in that coveted Halloween buzz that I so love about October!! I swear the minute October hits, I’m looking for crisp weather, pumpkin everything, and “Happy Halloween” Yankee candles. Well, actually my favorite smells is “Witches Brew” but those meanies discontinued it. ROAR!!!! I hear “Happy Halloween” is a close replacement, so I accept! But I digress… read more
