My Top Five Summer Reads – 2012

Well, summer is officially over. As of today. The first day of fall. And my husband is already starting to get excited about Christmas. Yep! Do you remember me mentioning his Christmas addiction last year? And the year before that?rolleyes He comes up often in my posts nearing that time of the year, and he’s already starting up. I posted his first “Christmas *squee*” a few days ago on Facebook:

ROCK STAR BOOK!!!! The whole tour, groupies, backstage access and everything. Okay, but wait. This is not our “usual” rock star book. You know… the BIG romance and angst thing? But it is OH sooo good anyway. Y’all know I LOVE Karina Halle and her Experiment in Terror series, and of course there’s my little “Dex” obsession. Yep. Juuuust a little obsession. *pinches two fingers together* Okay… i’ll admit it. It’s actually much bigger than that. 😉 read more

Book Review – An Early Spring by Ann Lister

An Early Spring
Realizing how much I both enjoyed, agonized (and even grumbled a bit) over her rock star books (Sheet Music & For All The Right Reasons), the author sent me this book (no rock stars, but definitely “contemporary romance”). And I liked it! It didn’t put me in a tailspin, I didn’t completely lose my head (and heart) over it, however, it was a good read. I’d say, to me, it had an almost “traditional” contemporary romance feel. Old school romance? I don’t have much experience in the genre (except for the super-angsty bad-boy variety), but this one was certainly easier on my heart. read more

Breaking News Update – Fever Spinoff Will NOT Be YA…

Well, this just makes me wanna *squeeeee* so loud!!! I’m gonna. Right now. Here at work (yes I’m bein’ bad by posting an update while at work, but this is just too exciting for me). *squeeeeeeeeeee*

And y’all know I LOVVVVED the Fever Series with all of my might! I actually read these back when I had to use both of my HANDS to read! You know, hold a book, clip on the booklight, flip pages, earmark (for shame! I know… yes I did that shhhhh), but these books were SO worth the hand cramps. read more

S.J. Frost – Conquest Series Reading Order

Highly HIGHLY recommended by my friend Jackie (when we were ranking our favorite heroes), and also recommended by SO many others (Amber and Lis to name a few more friends). Adamant discussions erupt in excitement when these guys are brought into the mix (note: this is GAY – m/m – rock star romance).

While Jackie was reading book #1 she emailed me and I knew EXACTLY how she felt:

“… but I wanted to share this book with you. It’s called Conquest by S J Frost. Its Rockstar based so it will tick boxes for you . The thing is , I’m about 1/3 of the way through it and I really care. Really really care what happens to these two guys. (It’s m/m – forgot to mention that.)
