Book Review – Cuffed by K. Bromberg

Cuffed (Everyday Heroes Series Book 1)
The best of both “contemporary romance-book” worlds in this one! Childhood best friends, and it’s a second chance romance to boot! Also, the cop-in-uniform hero didn’t hurt one bit.

That cover? *waggles eyebrows* I know right? He was pretty easy to imagine.

Someone Else’s Ocean
Kate Stewart’s latest JUST WENT LIVE and I had the pleasure of reading an early copy over the weekend!!
It was gentler on us than some of her past super-angsty books that had us in a frenzy, but it sure had it’s share of pull-pull, kindle-throwing moments, and of course… a seriously angsty moment that had my heart in my throat.

So what’s it about?

Koti has been living life on an island renting beautiful vacation houses to tourists, and loving her uncomplicated, and very single life. Having run from her high stress, demanding world, she’s finally found a semblance of peace living on the beach, and helping make visitors happy… even if for just a few weeks. That is, until Ian (her childhood friend that she hasn’t seen in ages) shows up in the vacation home right next door to hers, kicking up a storm. read more

Book Review – That Guy by Kim Jones

That Guy
I read this one straight through in one shot. Started this morning, just finished it now, and I am thrilled with it! I KNEW going into this, by the recommendations I received, that this would be a laugh-riot (and of course, anyone that has watched the FaceTime videos that Kim Jones posts, you KNOW you are in for some possibly crude, yet hilarious humor).

I just LOVE her unabashed thoughts, and just how funny she can be in her delivery, so I knew this was going to be a touch of that, at the very least. read more

Book Review – All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover

All Your Perfects: A Novel
OUR LATEST BUDDY-READ and OMG that was one of the BEST starts to a book I’ve read in ages. Hooked me from the very first page, and I was absolutely blown away by the circumstance that brought these two main characters together. With that kind of intro, I couldn’t wait to read their story (and I was delightfully scared, ’cause I know Colleen can go there).

Maryse: OMG I AM HOOKED ALREADY. This is going to be an AWESOME read.

Amy: One chapter into All Your Perfects and now I have to take some Z-Quil or else I’ll stay up all night reading it. Especially after that first chapter. ESPECIALLY after the first few lines of the second chapter. *silently begs CH to do some healing after the bruising* read more
