ANOTHER HAPPY MONDAY MORNING IS HERE!! 🙂 Today’s “early birds” list is short but plenty sweet. In fact, that one there to the right sounds unique and totally up my alley (the difficulties of an arranged marriage and it’s the duet conclusion!!) and Lani Lynn Vale’s does too (sounds like unrequited love!!) Plus I highlighted a bunch more, and as usual, will be adding more throughout the day. But first…

THREE THINGS:

1.) I went and saw The Avengers this weekend and yes… it was just awesome. It made me laugh, it gave me panic attacks, and it tugged hard on my heartstrings. HARD. I did not cry but only because I tried a technique. I kept repeating to myself “Do not internalize this. Leave it there. It belongs there“. Yep. Cryless. Well, except for that one slow moving tear that just could not be contained. 😉 Oh and, that other one that followed.

2.) Can I finally settle in and binge watch GoT now that it’s complete? I think I should but I heard an uproar and utter disappointment over last night’s final episode.

3.) Almost finished A Five-Minute Life and I gotta say YAY!!!! Loving it. Everything I thought it was going to be and where I thought it was going, end up being ended up in the first 50%… then… there was the second half. 😉 SQUEEEE!!! I’m nervous though. Suddenly… other scenarios have cropped up in my mind. Oh and WHOA?!! Where did this cover come from? Yeah I think I’m good with it. 😉

THIS SERIES SOUNDS RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!! Book #1, she pines for him and he doesn’t know she exists, and book #2 is about a K9 cop (and she can’t stand him!!!!) Tee hee! LOVE!! Can’t wait to find out what book #3 is about (and in the meantime, I need to read these ASAP). 😉

Lisa M: Just finished Hissy Fit, cracked me up. Love it when a book makes you laugh out loud!!

Melissa: Her books are always a one click for me. Reminds me a bit of Kristen Ashley.

Maryse: Every single one of her blurbs gives me a jolt!!! I LOVE the sound of her stories.

Jamie: I’m recommending this to you. Bully romance with dark tones, the characters are still in school. The H and his brothers are major jerks and the h doesn’t take his or his brothers crap she fights back. I’m so excited for the second one to come out😘😘

Robyn: I have been reading The Peer and The Puppet all weekend. I’m enjoying it and about to finish…

Cheryl: Peer and the Puppet sounds good. I’m a little confused, “it’s a standalone but the story continues in the series.” No cliffy right?

Tessa: BB Reid’s Peer and the Puppet, OMG, it was awesome. If you liked Fear Me, you’ll love this. It’s not as violent as Fear Me. The, err, issue that Maryse had with Fear Me wasn’t there at all. 🙂 Still ANGST! 🙂 Tons of it.

Tessa: Broken Wings by Jaymin Eve and Tate James – OMG this book was my fantasy mix. Bully book with James’ great plot and story telling with Eve’s wonderful character writing. *thunks* Not reverse harem! Just bully book with great characters.

MichelleS: Have always liked this author’s writing. It’s the older man, younger woman trope I like to throw in once in a while. She remembers him as a teen as her dad’s partner. Now she’s back in town, back with parents, and dad gets her a job as Mc Hottie’s assistant. I know, I know… been there, done that… but he’s pretty swoony. Such a gentleman. Slow burn for sure. Dual POV for those of you who care about that (aka Amy).

Cheryl: Reading Before I Ever Met you. Very well written CR. At 80% and I think the sh!t is going to hit the fan. *Grabs wine and chocolate*

Ellen: an EPIC, 5 star read for me!! It’s a spin-off of the amazing Lock & Key MC series but stands on its own. Highly recommend

Reader Question… Solved! The book about the heroine that is abused by her parents and bullied in school…

Storme is still looking for this book from this past reader question (still unsolved), and she’s provided us with more details in case this might help!

She’s back again saying:

I’m back again hoping some new people will look at the post and help with a book I’ve been looking for so long!

The details that I remember-

The heroine’s name could be Echo though I’m not completely sure.

The h lives with her father and stepmother who physically abuse her. She is bullied in school because of the clothes she wears and her timid nature. The bullying at the school gets bad. The H who goes to the same school also says mean things to her like ‘Why does she even bother living and she should die’ something along this line.

It becomes too much for the h to handle so decides to commit suicide but H sees her and the h tells him about her family life and the H feels very guilty. The H saves the h from the suicide attempt. The h is then admitted to the hospital where her father and stepmother lie about her injuries saying that those are self inflicted.

They then try to kill her but some nurse I think catches them at the right time and then they are jailed.

I think after this there is a time leap and we see H in college. The H is a part of anti-bullying initiative in college because of what happened with the h and the guilt he feels. He sees the h in his college and then they become friends and later start dating each other.

This book is not Reason To Breathe, Heart on a Chain, Scars of my Past or Pushing the Limits

Tessa: What does it say about me that two books that are amongst my favorite are mentioned? lol Binding 13 he didn’t bully her and her mom was just weak. Filthy, Rich Boys her father is okay and that’s a back story with the ex-boyfriend. I’m gonna keep an eye on this because BOY DO I WANT TO READ IT! 🙂
